This has been an amazing space for both Beloit Chamber and Economic Development and we are so appreciative to The Porter House! This space has been the main hub for collaboration, meetings, chamber coffees, new comers to Beloit, and business opportunities for those working to fulfill their dreams.
Change is on the horizon and we will be moving to the new Solomon Valley Office Suites on Mill St. This new space will allow us to be in a bigger space, more collaboration and also the opportunity for others in the community to co-work.
Check out this office space at the Porter House. Our favorite part about it has always been the natural light and the view of our beautiful courthouse! Prime location for office or retail!
Another "BIG THANKS" to our firework sponsors this year, we appreciate all the donations to help make the fireworks at Waconda Lake a great show. We had a 24 minute show this year along with a great turnout at Lakefest event. Way to go Waconda Cultural Association for all the hard work and funds raised that evening for the lake! The fireworks and Lakefest event is not possible without all our contributing sponsors and event attendees! ๐๐
๐During Lakefest event on July 6th, we announced that this is the last year the Beloit Area Chamber will be hosting the fireworks. The Chamber has proudly hosted the fireworks for the last six years and has strived to make the fireworks a great spectacle for the community to enjoy.
๐Each year the Chamber evaluates it's events and which events maintain our mission and it's members the best. We feel that there are other events that need our attention along with providing our mission to our community of businesses and individuals. The timing for our events tend to all fall together at the same time through spring and early summer and we feel it's time to move on some of the events in order for the Chamber to maintain its mission.
๐We feel that it's now necessary to share the firework event and pass the baton on to another person/business in the community with passion and energy to maintain the fireworks for Waconda Lake.
However, we are happy to announce that we have already been approached by an individual that is interested in taking on the fireworks and has a passion for fundraising and maintaining this event! More information to come in the future!
Yesterday was a historical day as we unveiled our new name, mascot, logos and colors on both our Beloit and Hays campuses. We are now the Fort Hays Tech | North Central Tigers. As the first technical college in the state of Kansas, we have been providing quality, hands-on education for 60 years. Although we may look different, that same enduring commitment to providing quality technical education is stronger than ever!
The fireworks were awesome last night!
What a great time at Waconda Lakefest and thank you to all our awesome sponsors that helped make this event a "BIG BANG!"
