Kittens and more kittens!! Not quite big enough to have all the necessary vet work done before becoming available for adoption, but adorable and playful nonetheless! The Humane Society of Swift County currently has 21 kittens in foster care. Our funds are extremely low, so we are hoping our community will continue to help us feed and care for them until they are adopted. Our current funds need to be used for their vet care. It was a good day at the dog park! The Humane Society of Swift County volunteers pampered 26 dogs, despite the dismal weather forecast. The rain held out just long enough. A huge thank you goes out to the vet staff from the Appleton Vet Clinic for doing all the nail trims!

NOON TODAY!! Bring your dogs to play at the Waggin' Tails Dog Park in Benson. Minimum donation $10 per dog for spa treatments. All proceeds go to the Humane Society of Swift County! PLEASE SHARE!!

ADOPTED!! Claribell, our sweet but shy ragdoll mix girl, went to meet her new feline sister and mom today. Paws crossed that a quiet home with many fewer cats will be a perfect fit for her! We wish you a lifetime of cuddles and fun!

🌹🌹🌹All the little cat spirits were crossing the rainbow bridge when one of them looked back and saw some cats' souls laying on the other side of the bridge, not moving.

“Who are they?” he asked the cat next to him.

“Oh, don’t you know they are the souls who had no owner in life and knew no love like we did."

“So what are they laying there for?” he asked “Why don’t they cross over like us?”

“They can’t.” replied his new friend “Only pets with owners can cross."

Just then all the souls on the other side of the bridge sat up and looked down the road.

"What’s happening?" asked the little cat. “Watch!” replied his friend.

Whereupon a woman was seen walking towards the bridge. She looked to her left and then to her right then opened her arms wide and all the patiently waiting souls got up and went to her.

She knelt and touched each and every spirit in turn.

They then all proceeded to cross the bridge together.

“Who is that?” he asked his friend.

“That is someone special.” replied his friend “She is a rescuer." 🐈🐈‍⬛🐈

ADOPTED!! Balboa, our sweet boy who came to us in really rough shape, went to his furever home today! He is happy and healthy now, and will have a future full of love and TLC. Thanks to his foster mom, Jackie, for all her time and loving care. Another life saved! ❤️

UPDATE!! Tippy has been found! He was actually in his owner's attic! Miraculously he survived for 2 months without food or water. 😞
