We are California's redistricting database responsible for collecting and processing data for California's decennial redistricting.
Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to use the COI tool for local redistricting processes! From describing your community to drawing it, the COI tool is an effective, easy-to-use tool for sharing your input about your community.

Did you know we are currently in the Line Drawing phase of the statewide redistricting process? This is the final stage in the process, and involves the collection of community input, as well as the drafting of district maps and Line Drawing meetings held by the Citizens Redistricting Commission . At the end of this stage, new district maps will be sent to the California Supreme Court to be finalized and certified.

At any of the six redistricting access centers open throughout the state, anyone can easily participate in the redistricting process and submit input about their community directly to the California Citizens Redistricting Commission (). We welcome walk-ins, but encourage anyone interested in visiting the centers to make an appointment to ensure we have a work space available for you. You can make an appointment at your nearest redistricting access center through the link in our bio.
You can now access the official redistricting data for cities, counties, and the entire state on our website! The link is in our bio.
Did you know you can have your voice heard in California's redistricting process from the comfort of your own home? Draw My CA Community, Draw My CA Districts, and Draw My CA QGIS are three online tools developed by Statewide Database through which Californians can participate in the statewide redistricting process.
Through using any of these free, web-based tools, you can submit your input directly to the Citizens Redistricting Commission. You can find these tools and learn more about them at the link in our bio!
We are excited to announce the opening of six Redistricting Access Centers across California! We invite all members of the public to visit any Redistricting Access Center and submit their input about their community to the California Citizens Redistricting Commission. Each location meets ADA Accessibility Standards and has staff available to help members of the public use the redistricting software. Access Centers are open on an appointment only basis - visit statewidedatabase.org for more info.
At this time, masks are required in the access centers. We hope to see you there!

Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) protects the voice of minority voters.
In order to argue that districts are drawn in a way that weaken the voice of minority
voters in that area, three conditions (also called "Gingles Conditions") must be met.
The Voting Rights Act (VRA) was signed into law on August 6, 1965 by President Lyndon B. Johnson.
Since its passage, the VRA has proved essential in protecting voters across the United States.
