Reminder that school ends at 1:30 pm tomorrow, Monday June 3rd and Tuesday June 4th. Tuesday is our last day of school! Please arrange to pick up your child at 1:30 p.m. and/or make sure your child's after-school program is open. LEARNS and BEARS are still open.

The first day of school for the 24-25 school year is on Wednesday, August 14th. 1st-5th grade class lists will be posted on King St. on August 13th at 4:00, and K and TK will have Balanced Beginnings, and final lists for K and TK will be posted on Friday, August 15th at 5:00p.m.

Our teachers are rockstars and do so much for our kiddos, but there are SO many other staff that help make MX the amazing and nurturing environment that it is — from making sure our school is clean and safe to making sure students are nourished, supported, and enriched. On the heels of Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to extend our thanks to these staff by putting out a call for donations and notes of gratitude.

We're kicking things off at 5:00 in the auditorium with an author visit from Mac Barnett followed by an interactive performance by Berkeley Public Librarian Mr. Michael and the Story Time Band.

The Golden Sneaker Contest is happening now through Friday! Take advantage of the break in rain and walk or roll your way to school to earn points for your class. Get some exercise, help lower our environmental impact, and make traffic around school safer and smoother.

Join the Bike Bus on Friday March 8th for a fun and safe ride to school: groups of riders and rollers meet up at four spots and ride to school as a bike parade! Cargo bikes and kid bikes and scooters and so on are welcome!

Congratulations to all MX students for logging those reading minutes over last two weeks! Though the logging is over, we’re accepting donations online for another week while we collect and tally those minutes. Our goal of $50,000 is within reach! We're $10,000 away and every bit helps.
