We are honored and humbled to announce that our chapter is the recipient of the Tradition of Excellence in Inclusive Leadership & the Program Og Distinction awards!! One of our chapter sisters, Gaby Montes (SP 17) is also the recipient of the Outstanding CGC President of the Year & Tradition of Excellence in Empowering Others awards! We would like to thank everyone who has supported our chapter whether by attending events, partnering with us, participating in campaigns, or just actively following us on Instagram! We would also like to extend a large congratulations to all of the other winners!!!

Today would have been Ahmaud Arbery's 26th birthday and we are choosing to honor him all weekend long by walking/running/jogging 2.23 miles (represents the date he was killed). We demand justice be served for Ahmaud and are joining in this protest. Be sure to post any pictures or videos of you running/walking the 2.23 miles to show you run with Ahmaud.

Huge thank you to everyone who participated in our Red Hearts Campaign last week in order to spread awareness about sexual and domestic violence! Thank you to Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Inc. for partnering with us! And a HUGE thank you to Turning Point of LV for our guest lecturer Lisa Wilson who spoke about the difference between Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships!

Tonight join us for a very impactful event where an expert speaker from turning point will discuss how you can cultivate a healthy relationships! The red hearts have shown us some of the unhealthy aspects, now it’s time to learn how to make our relationships healthy! ♥️

Have you noticed the red hearts all around campus? Interested in what their significance is? They are part of a twist on the red flag campaign in honor of national teen dating violence awareness month that seeks to raise awareness of signs of unhealthy relationships through red hearts. Join us at tabling every day this week in Upper from 12-1pm to make your own heart or write a letter of support to those that feel trapped within such relationships!

Last Thursday, our sisters Mariah Lopez (SP 19) and Jaslyn Almonte (SP 19) who are in the Greek EMerging leaders program on campus presented their capstone projects to members of the university community. They worked with other Greek EMerging leaders on projects that highlighted solutions to getting students to utilize medical amnesty more and getting Greeks to be more united and work together. We are so proud of their hard work!

This weekend our chapter undergraduate and alumni sisters enjoyed spending time together and catching up at the Lehigh-Lafayette rivalry football game! We barely felt the cold weather because we were warmed by love and laughter♥️🌙🌴🐚 @ Goodman Stadium

Yesterday evening our undergraduate chapter sisters and had a great time bonding and chatting together at the Buffalo Wild Wings fundraiser for our chapter philanthropy! We especially loved catching up with one of our lovely sisters who lives in the area and her boyfriend! ♥️💕

This past weekend our lovely chapter sister, Arianna Pineiro (SP 17) had the amazing opportunity to present her research in Anaheim, California at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students. Arianna does research with Drosophila flies dealing with ribosomal protein family eRpL22 and eRpL22. She specifically does things like analyze levels of the protein Marf in their te**es.

This weekend was SISTERHOOD SPIRIT WEEKEND!!❤️🌙🌴🐚 Our undergraduate sisters had the most amazing time bonding, catching up, learning new strolls, sipping hot cocoa, and just spending time with their sisters from the schools in the PAA1 area! It is amazing how genuine and widespread the love of this sisterhood extends 🙆🏽‍♀️💕 @ Lehigh University

We are extremely grateful for all of the organizations and successful women who made the Being a Woman In a Male Dominated World event such a success on Friday!! This was an extremely impactful and needed event that truly united individuals who identify as female from all diverse areas of campus, as well as successful females from diverse career paths! It was truly an amazing and heartwarming sight to see everyone come together in empowerment ♥️🤗🥰 @ Empowering

Come this Friday to join in female empowerment and enjoy free food with your fellow peers and many successful alumni women from the Class of 1994 through 2010!

13 of the diverse organizations that exist across campus for the purpose of empowering and bringing women together are partnering on this event to achieve the goal of uniting diverse women from all areas of campus together to be empowered and uplifted by both one another and through the presence of successful professional women. There will be keynote speeches, breakout sessions, food, and a mix and mingle conversational portion.

Women present will learn about overcoming the imposter syndrome, tendency to undersell themselves, feelings of inferiority in all-male environments, and much more from successful female professionals who have overcome these challenges in their own professional careers.

Come get to know our lovely sisters over tea and coffee at our Tea w the LTAs event today at 6 pm! We are looking forward to destressing together and getting to know each other better through “un poquito de conversación,” a little bit of conversation and storytelling! After all, the best way to get to know someone is over some tea 🤗

Today is National First-Generation Celebration Day! In honor of that, our undergraduate sisters who identify as first generation are sharing why they are proud to be first gen & why they chose to pursue higher education. This day was selected as the date for the annual National First-Generation College Celebration Center for First Generation Student Success to honor the anniversary of the signing of the Higher Education Act of 1965. HEA played an integral role for people of color. Similar to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, HEA's purpose was intended to help level the playing field by creating federal grants and loan programs to help students from minority and/or low-income backgrounds finance their education.

Thank you to all who attended our cultural appropriation 5x10 yesterday. Being open to educate yourself is the first step to reducing the occurrence of this problematic issue that is offensive to members of cultural groups and marginalizes the experience of these individuals further. If you would like to learn more feel free to reach out to us or our amazing partners But overall if you’re unsure if whether it’s cultural appropriation or not - just don’t 🤗

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all who attended the My hair, your problem event yesterday! There was an amazing turnout that led to a wonderful discussion of both common and differing experiences that helped everyone to learn more about this important issue and feel united in their experiences with this issue. A special shoutout to the sisters of MSU for inviting us to partner with them on this amazing event and to My Natural Crown and the Center for Gender Equity!!

Come support our 5x10 event for inclusive leadership!! The purpose of this event is to serve as a way of educating and sharing with students the significance of various cultural items, clothings, and traditions in an attempt to foster a mutual understanding among individuals of different cultures that will prevent accidental cultural appropriation and promote a genuine understanding of the significance of aspects of another culture. This mutual understanding will also serve as a way of bridging gaps between different cultures and promote a level of unity among students.

Today at 6pm, join LTA, MSU, My Natural Crown, and the Center for Gender Equity in an important conversation deconstructing natural hair and the problematic perceptions that exist in society surrounding it. Whether you have natural hair and have experienced these issues or would simply like to learn more - we would love to have you at this conversation! Free food will be provided!

In honor of the 4th annual "I Stand With Immigrants (ISWI) Day of Action" we would like to provide the reasons our fellow peers at Lehigh gave for showcasing their support for immigrants, particularly undocumented students in their community who are facing an uncertain future. Join us today while tabling at Upper from 7-8 pm to pledge your support for the immigrant community and if you received a shirt yesterday please make sure you wear it today! ❤️ @ Lehigh University

The 4th annual "I Stand With Immigrants (ISWI) Day of Action" is a day of action designed to encourage all of us to explore our individual heritage and work together to create a more welcoming environment for today's immigrants. For this year's day of action, campuses across the country will be showcasing their support for immigrants, particularly undocumented students in their community who are facing an uncertain future as the Supreme Court has decided to hear several DACA court cases on November 12. The Court's decision will determine the future for hundreds of thousands of young people who rely on DACA's critical protections. Join us today while tabling at Upper to pledge your support for the immigrant community and if you received a shirt yesterday please make sure you wear it today! ❤️

This past Friday, our undergraduate sisters had an amazing time at Epsilon Eta Chapter’s On My Block event! They had a wonderful time hanging out and catching up with our lovely area sisters and enjoyed the event! It’s always fun to hang out with our area sisters and support their events! @ Villanova University

Last Wednesday at our Self Care & St. Jude event, sisters partnered with Alpha Omicron Pi and the Center for Gender Equity to color pictures to send to the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to brighten their days. While doing this for the kiddos, participants also brightened their own day while doing face masks and listening to calming music as a way of practicing self care during common hour exam week!

A lovely sisterhood based on unity, love, and respect with the goals of scholarly excellence, the empowerment of the universal woman, community service, and community activism🐚🌴🌙❤️ Come learn about this amazing lifelong sisterhood tonight at 7:17pm and then enjoy eating ice cream & playing uno with our undergraduate sisters :)
