Dr. Lynn Lempert has been practicing pediatric dentistry for over 22 years. A few years ago, she decided that she wanted to see the children she had been treating, as adults in her practice! While orthodontics for children was already offered, Beverly Hills Pediatric Dental Care has doubled the size of the office, added General and Family Dentistry, (Adults too!), Orthodontics for Adults and Oral Surgery services. Happy National Dental Assistant Recognition Week to all of our amazing Dental Assistants! Our Dental Assistants play an integral role on our team and they work extremely hard every day to provide excellent, affordable care in a safe and comfortable environment. Their efforts are appreciated each and every day, but its wonderful to be able to celebrate them all week long during Dental Assistants Recognition Week.
Baby teeth start developing before the child is even born and while they’re still in the womb. They begin to come through the gums when they’re between 6 and 12 months old.
Snails and slugs eat with a jaw and a flexible band of thousands of microscopic teeth, called a radula. The radula scrapes up, or rasps, food particles and the jaw cuts off larger pieces of food, like a leaf, to be rasped by the radula.
: Ultimately, sugar converts into acid in the mouth, which can then erode the enamel of your teeth. These acids are what lead to cavities. Acidic fruits, teas, and coffee can also wear down tooth enamel. While you don’t necessarily have to avoid such foods altogether, it doesn’t hurt to be mindful.
