Attendance Trivia: Absences are only a problem if they are unexcused? TRUE or FALSE?

False. Absences from school is a problem for not only the student who is absent but the student’s classmates, teachers, and entire school building. Teachers have to reteach when students are out sometimes holding other students back from moving on with instruction.

April is Autism Acceptance Month. 🧩💖

“Autism Month is the recognition raises awareness about autism acceptance and promotes inclusion and connectedness for people with autism.”

Shout out to Ms. Woody here at Erwin Middle School for promoting “Poetry Month.”

The students were to create their own poems and teachers were to submit their vote.

The poetry contest winners were tied for 2nd & 3rd place. Congratulations to all students who participated. Nice job! 👍💙

❗❗EVENT RESCHEDULED ❗❗

Dear Family and Community,

We regret to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the upcoming professional wrestling fundraiser that was scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 at Erwin Middle School.  Despite our initial excitement and efforts to organize this after school event, we won't be able to achieve the desired outcome due to the lack of participation.

The event has been rescheduled as follows:

Who: Students and their families

What: Professional Wrestling Match/Pep Rally

When: Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 from 1-2:30p   

Where: Erwin Middle School 

Why: To support and provide incentives for the E.H.E.R.O. Program (Eagles Here Everyday Ready & On Time) 

Individuals who have already purchased tickets will be contacted via email and offered a refund if they are unable to attend.  

NOTE: 
-Ticket pricing has need reduced to $10 each

-The first 300 students to purchase a ticket will receive a FREE MEAL!

-There will be a drawing of 3 $100 gift cards for perfect attendance! See the flier for more details.

-There will be a drawing of 10 FREE monthly memberships to the Center Point Parks & Recreation.

-Half-time show - TBA

-The Concession stand will be open for purchases.

-Individuals and businesses are welcome to donate to the E.H.E. R.O. Program or sponsor a classroom so that all students can attend.
