This morning Rachel Mason brought an amazing word reminding us all to leave margin for others and the work of the Lord. We looked at the story of Ruth and Boaz and how Boaz made room at his table for Ruth which ultimately showed her there was room for her at the table of God.
WHERE ARE YOU LEAVING MARGIN?

Today, in our morning prayer time, we spent time praying for our city. Specifically, the schools in our city and the greater Birmingham area, and the educators who work there (many of whom call Mosaic home). We also wanted to pray today for the kids and families of our city that too easily get left behind and forgotten. As a community we want to press a continued focus to seek the equality of all, as we recognize the good that has been done, we recognize the work still in front of us. As the people of God, the way we love and care for children and families in our midst matters. On a day like today, we are thankful for the work that MLK Jr. and so many others have done in our city of Birmingham and we pray that we could continue the hard work towards social justice. And may we ever embody what it means to ask that it be “In Bham as it is in Heaven!”

Today starts 21 DAYS OF PRAYER // this morning we looked at Genesis 18:1-8 and the hospitality of Abraham. By understanding and acknowledging what Jesus has done for us, we are able to offer that to other people so they can see Jesus in us. //
Details on 21 DAYS OF PRAYER to be added here and in Stories

This morning we looked at this passage reminding us that the beauty behind hard times is that we experience God in a whole new way. // Daniel 3:17-18 NIV reads “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. BUT EVEN IF HE DOES NOT, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
