The Scripture Bee is a Bible scripture knowledge competition for youth and teens ages 6 to 19. The first place winners from GLC for ages 6 -12 and Teens will compete with the first place winners from The Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in the 2024 GLC City Scripture Bee Competition on August 11, 2024 in the GLC Gold Room.

Monetary prizes will be awarded! Together, we are building and maintaining an army of saints that will inflict severe and heavy casualties upon the enemy of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ as directed by our Bishop.

Join us at Guiding Light Church Wednesday at 6:30p for our Small Groups Bible Study on campus.

This four-session class will take you on an exciting personal adventure as you discover your God-given gifts. The class will meet on four Wednesdays, beginning July 31st, from 6:30-7:45 pm in the Board Room. Taught by Elder Charlena Bray, the class is open to all. Study materials will be provided.

Back to School Anointing Service – Sunday, August 4, 2024, during this service, Bishop Lowe, Pastor Lowe, and the Elders will anoint each child, praying for their protection, wisdom, and success in the coming school year. We believe that through this act of faith, our children will be empowered to face challenges, excel in their studies, and shine as lights in their schools.

We encourage all parents, grandparents, guardians, and friends to attend and support our youth. Let's stand together as a community, united in faith and love, to send our children back to school with God's divine protection and favor. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." – Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)
