Happy ! Paleontologists Clint Boyd and Mindy Householder from the North Dakota Geological Survey NDGS Paleontology joined the MOR Paleontology Field Crew in the Hell Creek Formation this summer. They visited the site where a nearly complete Thescelosaurus (MOR 979) was discovered in Makoshika State Park in 1997. Boyd and Householder collected data from the rocks that once encased the dinosaur to learn more about how it was preserved.

Jimothy is free! This big fish is ready to head back to Bismarck abd hit the lab. Thanks to everyone for helping on this big project over the years!
Cathy was afraid she would lose her brush on site (thank you tiny pockets for women), so came up with a plan!
Two types of nails on site. On the left, Becky rocking mooncat Maelstrom, and Clint with the very stylish “I’ve plastered so much my hangnails have hangnails…”.
Becky says the green bling has lasted through 3 weeks of digging fossils (with fingerless gloves), and it makes for good tweezers in the field. Clint needs to invest in some hand cream or something. Or maybe just less plaster?
Jimmothy the Ichthyodectes has flipped! After 4 summers of discovery and excavation, we were finally able to flip it over. Now to drag it down the hill somehow.
