Welcome Adjunct Lecturer Troy Hatfield to our department! Troy will teach CJUS-P304 Probation and Parole. Troy was an Indiana probation officer for 25 years. He received a B.A., Criminal Justice & Psychology, from IU and a M.S., Criminology, from Indiana State University.

‘It’s helping’: IU Creative Arts for Vets has national reach Creative Arts for Vets, with the IU Center for Rural Engagement, first began distributing the free artbooks in March 2023. Since then, the organization has distributed about 9,000 CAV Books in all 50 states.

Senior Undergraduate Advisor Krystie Herndon celebrated 35 years with Indiana University this year! Dr. Herndon was celebrated at the 2023 Staff Retirement and Long Service Reception on May 20, 2024. We are privileged to have her part of our department's team!

Congratulations to Dr. John Gonsler! John's dissertation is titled, “The Stories They are Dying to Tell You: A Study of News Media Coverage of Gun Violence.” He is currently working as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Manchester University.
Always a treat to celebrate the end of the year with faculty and graduate students! Hannah Ridner received the Borkenstein Award, Carmen Diaz received the Hue & Cry Award, and Johnny Gonsler was celebrated for the completion of his Ph.D.
