Daystar U.S. Dr. William Twayigize was born into a small village situated between northern Rwanda, western Uganda, and the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This area is surrounded by dormant volcanoes and is home to many natural resources. 

From humble beginnings come great things.

Walter just recently graduated with a B.A in International Relations. He is the recipient of a Daystar scholarship that enabled him to rise above his humble beginnings and become the servant-leader God intended him to be.

During his time at Walter took on the role of student body president to better help his school and fellow class mates.

Women’s rights, access to for children, & creating sustainable development options for are just some of the many areas Walter seeks to focus on as he steps into his .

Daystar University recently celebrated its 45th graduation including 1,124 graduates!

Through the education received at Daystar University these graduates have been enabled to create positive change in their respective fields.

Over 100 of 2023-2022 graduating classes were students. These were able to graduate and reach their potential because of the support of others.

Because of this generous they now have a chance to contribute to positive in .

Leadership is not about being “in charge” or the needs of oneself. Leadership is about caring for those that you lead. Servant-leadership is by very definition serving those who have given you the power to lead them.

By providing scholarships and instituting these ideals is providing opportunities to create new leaders in the workforce.

64 participants took part in the 2023 KCSE Ex-candidates events on March 3rd. The students participated in a one day excursion event organized by the Daystar Leadership and Professional Development Institute (DLPDI). The event took place at the Freedom Base in Main Campus Athi River Campus.

The day’s activities included teambuilding exercises, career choice talk and tour of the Main Campus facilitated by DOULOS and the Corporate Affairs Department.

Some of the ex-candidates will be joining Daystar University for their diploma and undergraduate studies!

Daystar KCSE Ex-candidates program 2023

Daystar in collaboration with Global Peace Foundation, Chandaria Foundation, Daystar University Students Association and its Rotaract Club successfully launched the tree nursery at Athi River Campus! The goal of this is to increase tree cover on campus. Pictured below are students planting one of the first trees:

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Laban Ayiro recently announced that Daystar University is designing an education model to enable prison officers and inmates to study online from their correctional facilities. Take a look at some of the footage from his visit at the correctional facility!
