A Giving Circle
A Giving Circle, INC is a registered 501(c)(3) currently on a mission to reinvest $1,000,000 back into the local Treasure Valley Community.
Update: May 12 | We've made it to mid-May! Every week, it is amazing to see our community continuing to help one another during this ongoing time of uncertainty. Last week, we were able to make two more donations to some local favorites! A Giving Circle delivered $5,000 to two local businesses who are working to stay afloat and keep pushing forward despite the dire circumstances right now - Urban Fox in Meridian and Hyde Park Pub in the North End. Here are a few words from the proprietors:
From the owners of Urban Fox: "We have been so nervous and scared over the past 5 weeks and we are so grateful and thankful for this!" Nominated by our very own Leslye Park, this business is especially dear to her: "I have been to this business since it opened up almost 2 years ago and quickly became friends with the owner. As we all know the first two years of business are crucial and when all of this went down, I immediately thought of them and how they would be affected. What amazes me the most is that they themselves have made several donations to local front line workers in this time. That says a lot about them."
Hyde Park Pub's proprietors, John & Michelle Cornell, have been the proud owners for 17 years: "We are just thrilled to know that someone cares! We will use this money for our staff, and to pay the bills. We will plan on paying it forward when we get back on our feet!" Michelle has been trying to stay busy while providing food to first responders and those that are ill and need some extra help.
Sandy Rubio, Debbi Myers and Sandy Anderson can't say enough how much they love this couple, their business and what they mean to our community. Best margaritas in town!
As always, thank you to everyone who has supported this campaign. Please help us in continuing to spread the word! You can share this post or the link to the fundraiser so we can continue to make these donations every Friday!

This campaign to give emergency funding to local businesses has certainly made the weeks fly by. It has been another week and we have been blessed with continued support from donors so that we could make two more donations this morning! Today A Giving Circle delivered $5,000 to two local businesses who have been scrapping and fighting to stay alive and stay open during this crisis - Gramercy Park Pizza & Grill in Meridian and Sweet Tea Living in Eagle. Here are a few words from the proprietors:
Gramercy Park owners Jessica Hall Price and Park Price IV: "This will help us for opening curbside and patio service for Friday and Saturday night as well as doing a lunch menu starting Wednesday. We would love to give back, pay it forward, and do a fundraiser for A Giving Circle when we are up and running." Gramercy was nominated to receive these funds by Matt Weston who remarked, "I love these guys! I bring my clients, builders, and developers because the food and atmosphere are amazing!".
Sweet Tea Living proprietor Megan Hoiosen: "This donation was a God-Send! Our rent is due today and we are able to pay rent now and start the process of opening our business!"
As always, thank you to everyone who has supported this campaign. Please do us a favor and share this post or share the link to the fundraiser so we can continue to make these donations every Friday!

Another huge week for AGC and our COVID-Aid Fund for local businesses. This week, because of your generous donations and thoughtful nominations, we were able to donate $2,500 each to the iconic Downtown-Boise attraction, The Flicks as well as an East Boise favorite in the beauty industry, M Spa. These two businesses and their operators have been struggling to make it through this pandemic and come out on the other side. Check out the images for what this donation means to the proprietors. For more information about this on-going effort to save local businesses, check out our FB fundraiser or go to www.COVIDAIDBOISE.com. Thank you once again for helping us deliver the good news Sandy Anderson and Boise Metro Chamber. The nominations have been pouring in and next Friday we will be cutting two more checks to local businesses in need.
We appreciate the opportunity to jump on the air with The Morning After With Nic and Big J this week to discuss our COVID-Relief fund. Thank you guys. 👍❤️
Last week Guru Donuts and Big City Coffee were the nominated local businesses that received a check. Visit www.covidaidboise.com to nominate/donate and stay tuned on who is featured this week!
On Friday, thanks to the generosity of everyone who has stepped up to help and donate, we were able to grant two local businesses some much-needed emergency funding to help them move forward. It is our pleasure to give back to Big City Coffee, Linen District and Guru Donuts, both of whom are forces for good in our community and both of whom have a history of giving. They were each granted $2,500 on Friday morning. These small businesses have been stalwarts in this dark time, doing everything they can to keep employees and continue serving. However, make no mistake, this is a very difficult time and they, among hundreds of others, are in a struggle for survival.
We will continue to give emergency funds to local businesses, every Friday, so long as we have the donations to do so. If you would like to learn more about this COVID Relief Fund, you can go to the fundraiser established on this page or you can go to www.CovidAidBoise.com. Please consider a donation of $100, although, any little bit is appreciated and valued! Thank You! NS

UPDATE - APRIL 15th -
The recent crisis in our society and economy, a massive quarantine effort to slow the spread of “COVID-19” or “CORONAVIRUS”, has suddenly and dramatically altered the landscape of small business in the Treasure Valley. We must act and act quickly in order to provide local businesses the support they need to weather the storm brought on by this virus. ACT NOW and JOIN US in our effort to get businesses the emergency funds they need to survive.
The goal is to raise $50,000 over the next 8-10 weeks and we will begin funding nominated businesses the week of April 13th (this week!). We have simplified the donation process so that you can make a flat donation of any amount you choose. Although we would love to see an average of $100, every little bit helps. We are on our way with donations of over $6,000 so far (thank you everyone!). You can find a direct link to nominate businesses in the URL below, whether or not you make a donation. Thank you...

The board and volunteers at AGC have been working hard to figure out the best way we can pivot our strategy in order to fulfill our mission of supporting and reinvesting in the Treasure Valley during these difficult times. We are seeing the pain in real time and it is real personal. We made a breakthrough in planning today and have a very exciting announcement in the works for next week on how we will put the tremendous and generous power of this network to immediate action. Stay Tuned for more...
This is an IMPORTANT message from Brett Denton and Kvell Fitness & Nutrition about how you can (1) support our local businesses who are currently struggling and (2) stay active and stay positive in these difficult times!
