An update on LCI Past International President Douglas Alexander's visit to Boise. The lunch price on May 6th has been repriced to $15.00. Please contact Past International Director Gary D'Orazio by April 29th for reservations. see the flyer below for all the information.

Last month, we released the 2023 Eye Banking Statistical Report. This annual publication is the world's most comprehensive examination of eye banking processes and trends.

This graphic represents some of the highlights in the 2023 data - most notably that the number of donors and total corneas donated has returned to pre-COVID levels!

While the numbers are impressive, it's impossible to calculate the true intangible value of lives transformed by the restoration of sight.

Mayor McLean, proclaims April as Donate Life Month for the City of Boise! Rev. Dennis Reid from St. Stephen's lead with a meaningful invocation, then Council President Pro Tem Meredith Stead read the proclamation as the city honors Organ, Eye and Tissue donors! We got to hear heartfelt stories from a local donor family and heart recipient and what that meant for him and his family. Keep an eye on Idaho News 6 for today's Story! Our Blue House team organized and promoted an event for Envision Eyesight and collected over 135 pairs of glasses for a worthy cause.

BSU to host eyeglasses donation drive Students at Boise State University are partnering with Envision Sight and Idaho Lions Eye Bank to give those in need the gift of better sight.

Thank you to Plexus (Nampa, Idaho) and these generous volunteers! Over 200 pairs of recycled eyeglasses were prepared and packaged and will be distributed to a free Diabetic Clinic in Mumbai, India. Over 200 individuals will benefit from this humanitarian volunteer service project.

Go fishing at Expo Idaho! For just $1, the trout pond give kids a chance to grab a pole and try to hook a trout.

All proceeds from the trout pond will benefit Meridian Lions Club! The Lions Club uses the proceeds to buy glasses, contribute to scholarship funds, and contribute to Envision Eye Bank!
