Wow, Feeling grateful I want to thank everyone who made the Syringa Open happen that includes the DGI team, all who donated, all the players, all the family members who supported a player, but especially all the kids that gave Disc Golf a go this weekend. I started playing when I was 15 (I'm 48 now) and it has been a love eversense. because of all of you, we might have given someone a lifelong sport, community, and friendships. Whether you won or lost give yourself a high five for being part of this weekend.

Biking season is upon us and we can’t wait to ride with you! TICKETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE to the Boise Mountain Bike Festival!! Keeping true to our mission we are keeping the ticket prices at $40 again this year. We want everyone to be able to come and enjoy this awesome community. Admission includes The Basin Gravity Park Lift Ticket, water bottle, access to demos, group rides, skills clinics, riding lesson and more.

With the help of our sponsors we are offering a 50% HERO discount to all of our first responders, military (active and Veteran), teachers and medical workers. We can’t thank you enough for everything you do!

Ticket prices will go up by $10 on the day of the festival so get your tickets in advance.

As many of you may have heard, one of our Founding Partners Richard “Rich” Urresti passed away on March 17th 2024 surrounded by his family.

Rich and his business partner Mick McConnell purchased Sib Kleffner Sports Specialist in August of 1972 and changed the Name to McU Sports. “Mc” for McConnell and “U” for Urresti. The store has remained family owned and in the same location for nearly 52 years.

Rich was known for his love of family, coaching, teaching, community support, the Boise State Broncos and above all, his wonderful personality.

There are so many incredible stories about Rich, but one of our favorites is the reason we’re all able to continue working in this wonderful outdoor specialty shop.

After experiencing a drought in the mid 70’s McU Sports was close to shutting the doors. Rich decided he would go to Alaska to work on a fishing boat and earn enough money to keep the business going. His love for the community and his employees goes above and beyond and we cannot thank him and his family enough for what they’ve done.

Rich’s Celebration of Life will be at the Basque Center today from 2:00pm to 5:00pm Friday April 26th.

We would love to hear more about the smiles and laughter he shared during his time with us.

The Bogus Basin Pond Skim is back this Saturday, April 20th!

Registration opens at 8:30 am in the J.R. Simplot Lodge – pond Skim participants are limited to 150 people ☀️

It's going to be a weekend full of fun, including a free photo booth, live music, and a raffle to win a historic Bitterroot Chair!

All 2023/24 winter and Nordic pass holders are welcome to ride this weekend 4/20 - 4/21 💙

Alright, Everybody… we are so proud to announce, once again, the festival is going down this year! We can’t thank you all enough for being part of this special weekend to celebrate, educate, and advocate all things mountain bikes. Save the date and let’s make this year’s festival the best one yet!
