How does “Thin The Threat” translate into action? Thinning a forest means removing dead, dying or overcrowded trees and leaving behind a healthier and productive forest that can withstand a fire. Sustainable Forestry Tour Recap – Thursday, 6/27 Highlights

We continued learning the story of Idaho forests by exploring the wood products industry. We had amazing mill tours at Idaho Forest Group and Clearwater Paper Corporation, gained insight into the trucking industry, toured the University of Idaho’s ICCU Arena, and wrapped up the day at a family-owned forest. It was a wonderful (near) end to our week together!
