Where is she? One guess....
I have traveled more in the past 2.5 months than I have in the last few years:
Santa Cruz for my spring break (plane)
Salt lake City for BoBo's spring break (road trip)
Reno for work (road trip)
Portland for work (plane)
Santa Cruz (again) for big milestone birthdays (team davich road trip)
Weather is nice here, hanging out in this part of PDX is making my head swim with nostalgia. One more day in the city, then I'm off to see the fam in Clark county. Jesus. The nostalgia level will go up to 11 Saturday.
When we were landing yesterday, I thought "I forgot how fu***ng green it is here." And damp even when it's sunny. And gritty and beautiful and I miss it a little. Then I get home and I don't anymore.
And the work part of this trip is really cool, too. Folks who work in higher ed for the TRIO program are salt of the earth, dedicated, encyclopedic, funny, real.
Thanks for hanging with me
And

Happy December friends!
The had been kind enough to include MeMe in their local artist gifty endcap at the Fort location. I'm in pretty good company, if I don't say so myself.
There's been some big and good changes in my life and supply chain issues SO it's easier for all my folks to pick up product from the co-op, or market (on 17th + State) than to order online.
DM me if you have questions...I'm always here for you!
I am tired AF but man oh man I had a super fun weekend! Find MeMe at Boise Merry Maker's Market and IdahoMADE!

Real Talk Post Warning:
We all hear, read, maybe talk about "self care" and a lot of us are realistic about self care. In my world, self care isn't just bath bombs and chocolate and flowers ... Self care is getting my damn teeth cleaned twice a year, getting my tata's smashed and pulled across the room (a slight exaggeration but all you women of a certain age get me), paying bills on time, ignoring house work (we're real people living in this house with kids & 4 cats and it's also where I run my business & cook and make other messes all the time) and going on a bike ride or a hike or helping my extended family with this that or another thing they need help with.
So here's what this is really about.
You see that big brown thing on my neck? It wasn't there 15 years ago. My suspicion/intuition was correct: it's melanoma. Surgery (thankfully) Monday. It's genetic, not the type caused by basking in the sun with baby oil (I couldn't bring myself to do that anyway--look at me, pale AF which means I burn in like 10 minutes and sunburns suck). If your parents are still around, talk to them, find out what runs in the fam. If you're a parent yourself, be real with your kids and tell THEM what runs in the fam.
I'm not anxious or scared about surgery or recovery (my HP gots my back). Blows my mind that this is my first surgery, my first set of stitches ever. One of my friends said, "you'll have a badass scar." Another said, "well its turtleneck and scarf season." Both are true.
All this said--I am taking a week off for sure, maybe more. My website will accept orders but they won't ship to 10/18. IdahoMade and both Boise Co-op locations are well stocked, too.
xoxoxo
August 2021. and I visited Aunt Cookie in Santa Cruz. More pictures later.
Since that visit, life has been, well, unpredictable. Isn't it always?
Hug your people. Call your mom. Tell everyone you love that you love them.
For the past 3 summers, I with the help of birds and squirrels have planted a huge bed of sunflowers in my front yard. This was the only Van Gogh sunflower that bloomed for me (I planted an entire packet of 'Goldy' sunflowers, not sure why only one bloomed). So as I cut back my 15' mammoth sunflowers yesterday, I cut this one to enjoy it as long as I can.
The other photos are my husband's green babies--he started 18 varieties of chilies from seed (he started them indoors in February!) ... We have habaneros, bhut gilokias, Thai, and some chilies native to north America. We're going to dry and pickle a bunch of these. Most nights Mark harvests a handful and chips them up to put on his dinner. I eat some, too, just not quite the volume he does.
Happy autumn equinox, happy full moon y'all

Happy Sunday friends! We are truly enjoying being back at BAM's 67th annual Art in the Park. One of the sweet benefits of being a vendor is getting a weekend pass to the art museum. My other half and our (not really a baby anymore since she had her 5th bday recently 😮) rode bikes down to visit...and she made the art hanging behind me. The smaller of the two is a portrait of "...it's you and me, Mom." So if you see me crying, that's why.
I'm here till 5:00 tonight. After breaking this mobile market down, you can find me laying in bed, watching Drag Race Holland and drinking sparkling water.
Thanks
Thank you to my lovely customers, old and new
xoxoxo
Happy Friday friends!
First photo is stage one: loaded up
Stage 2: set up
I rode my sweet new bike to Art in the Park this morning, a lovely way to start the day 🚲
I am at Julia Davis Park with 249 of my talented friends 10a-8p today & Saturday, 10a-5p Sunday 10a-5p
Well, I did something awesome today. On a whim, I stopped by to see if they had a used bike for me. Lo and behold they did. I'm the proud owner of a sweet vintage 3-speed with fenders and all. Got it just in the nick of time so I can ride to Art in the Park this weekend. (Don't knock my fashion...tie dye, Teva's and Carhartt's are functional AF)
Thanks a milliongagillion and love you guys!!
More pics of my booth and all my new & fresh products soon!
Today I worked a shift at . A customer of mine came in to pick up an order placed on my website. She and I had never met before because she bought my deodorant from the Boise Co-op. She asked, "wanna know a secret? Your deodorant is the only deodorant that actually works." She went on to list all the other brands she had tried and made me pinky swear that I'd keep making the deodorant just for her, even if I won the lottery. A pinky swear is an oath, so I guess you're all stuck with MeMe Loves Idaho deodorant...an awesome compliment, sorely needed after the week I've had!
Happy Saturday friends! Gorgeous day for our first weekend back at . You can find us near the corner of 10th & Idaho next to the market info booth. Here till 1:30
***Special shout out to Holly of for bustin' out a new set of price signs for MeMe. They're gorge
Hey friends! I had a super fun day helping out today. I spent a couple hours directing traffic and a couple more helping out in our Info Booth and doing whatever needed to be done (where are the extension cords? Who has the trash bags? Did anyone turn in a lost credit card? How do I become a vendor?). It was CCPM's first weekend back downtown and our first weekend in our new home on 10th & Idaho. MeMe Loves Idaho will be set up and selling for real, in-person for the first time since 2019 (omgomgomg) next Saturday. I hope to see you then! xoxo
This year has been harsh weather-wise (this time last year we could barely keep up eating greens & broccoli--this year not so much) and tending my garden has been an excersise in patience. After a weekend away, I took a closer look to find lots of green babies: my San Marzano Roma tomatoes (that I started from seed in Feb!) and my favorite squash on the planet (that I also started from seed) Delicatta both have tiny fruits and lots of blossoms. My Thai and Italian basil are going bonkers, too. Off to order more canning jars...with 30 tomato plants, I think I'll be doing a little canning again this summer. 🍅❤️
Hey friends!
Not much to do these (hot AF) days besides keep the garden and kid watered. Took some photos of new & fresh (literally & figuratively) MeMe sets
mini bath bombs -- 5 mini golf ball size and super portable in a sweet & unique tie dye bag ($12)
lip balm set -- all 5 flavors of MeMe's organic lip balm in a reusable canvas zipper bag ($15)
face care sample kit -- a 5-day supply of MeMe's organic, wild harvested, handmade face care line: flora & fire face scrub, honey face wash, high desert toner, st john's face cream, wild rose face cream, organic eye balm, high desert serum. Comes with directions & a full ingredient list ($12)
No shows for us till September, so pick up these cuties at downtown or through my website (link in bio)
What are you drinking to stay hydrated and not too grumpy? I've been enjoying my skullcap, spearmint, oatstraw, alfalfa blend; helps lighten my mood/consciousness. Iced peppermint tea is damn delicious, too. At night I drink an iced sleepytime tea.
Happy Wednesday friends!
K so this is an old photo (circa 2018) but it's the only one I could think of using (it's one of my favorite all time ever photos of me in my booth) for this announcement ....
I've been accepted to Hyde Park Street Fair 2021! You can find MeMe somewhere in Sept. 17-18-19 2021 (I'll post my booth location when I know).
It's exciting, surreal, a little anxiety-inducing (just bein' real here) to do in-person shows again. 2 or 3 day shows are my favorite -- ramping up production, staging my products, displays, the glorious game of Tetris I play fitting everything in my rig ... I love it. Setting my booth up once and settling in for 3 days is pretty awesome, too.
Worked a shift at today. I'm a pen nerd (read: I'm superduper all the way extra about what pen(s) I use for specific tasks--I used 5 pens in my 4 hour shift if that gives you an idea) and I love button down collar shirts, especially ones that match my glasses and mani...here is my revelation du jour:
I get pocket protectors now. 💯
Seriously guys, I think I've worn this sweet '80s preppy throwback shirt like 5 times. And there's ink all over the pocket BECAUSE IM A PEN NERD. Dammit!
Thank goodness for the internet and Pinterest and all this other awesome tech cuz Mama's gotta get this damn ink outta her shirt.
What are you extra nerdy about?
Don't tell my husband ... I have a date with a Wyoming sheriff. Oh wait. He already knows. He knows because I ordered this book weeks ago and have been counting down the days. Thanks
This Washington state girl loves her some
My first sunflower bouquet of 2020. I couldn't bring myself to cut any before now because the bees were LOVING them. Now that most of my sunflowers are mournfully bowing their seed-heavy heads I was able to bring a few in. Saving the heads to feed critter visitors this fall/winter. We have a surfeit of skunks (maybe a little family?) that visit us occasionally. Honestly I don't mind the smell. Is that weird?
