Are you a MA or CNA that can type proficiently? Do you live in Boise, ID or the Treasure Valley?
We are looking for a part-time "medical scribe". The scribe accompanies the doctor during office visits with patients, and types notes and orders into the EMR.
This person will also perform MA functions such as taking vitals, IM injections, collecting lab samples and performing EKGs (willing to train the right candidate).
In addition there are general office functions that all staff participate in, like cleaning, answering phones, returning phone calls and scheduling. Scribe will also be responsible for submitting prior authorizations for medications and procedures, as well as helping to complete FMLA and other paperwork.
Qualifications:
• Graduate from an accredited program in MA, CAN, EMT-A or similar
• 2 years, or more, experience in medical office
• Computer and electronic medical records proficiency
• Must be able to type quickly and accurately while listening
• Very professional, but friendly appearance and demeanor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized, problem solving
• Spanish language a plus
• Experience with eClinical Works (EMR) a huge plus
We have a fun work environment, and we want to keep it that way! We all like to work hard, and laugh hard. We are all team players, but are able to work independently. We work with very challenging patients, but provide support for them and each other.
This is a part-time job, about 20 hours per week. Current hours are Monday 8:30 to 12:30, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 to 5:00. Occasional hours on Wednesday. There is some flexibility in the hours, but not much.

*Answering a high volume of phone calls on a multiple line phone system
*Scanning medical records into patient charts
*Sending out referrals
*Checking faxes
*Collecting payments
*Checking patients in/out
*Updating patient demographics
*Returning phone calls
*Patient scheduling
*Experience with making chart notes for phone calls and medication refills
*Familiar with Outlook, MS Office, Google Calendar necessary
*Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
*Compassionate, empathetic, and caring individual
*Ability to multi task and work independently
*Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR a huge plus!
*Spanish language fluency a plus
In addition, there are general office functions that all staff participates in, like cleaning. This is a full-time job, about 40 hours per week. Current hours are Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, with occasional admin hours on Friday without patients.
