Congrats to alum Simona Smirnova ’15 for being recognized with a 2024 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in Folk/Traditional Arts! The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship makes unrestricted cash grants to New York State-based artists working in 15 disciplines, recognizing five disciplines per year on a triennial basis. Simona Smirnova is currently the only professional kanklės player in the United States!
