Today is Juneteenth, and in observance, the campus is closed.⁠

Juneteenth celebrates the date of June 19, 1865, when enslaved people of African descent located in Texas finally learned of their freedom from the slavery system in the United States.⁠

This Juneteenth stroll through Beacon Hill and visit the 10 sites that showcase the homes and community buildings of a thriving Black community formed during the nation's earliest years.⁠

Meet Dr. Agnes Oyewale, the Director of Career Services and Employer Relations who holds a bachelor's degree, master's degree, and Doctorate. ⁠

She was born and raised in Roxbury, Boston and pursued her bachelor's degree at Centre College in Kentucky before returning to Northeastern University in Boston to complete her Master's and Doctoral degrees. ⁠

Great news for East Boston High School students! Fisher College is excited to announce a new Early College program in partnership with East Boston High School.

This program allows students to take college courses and earn credits towards a degree at Fisher College, all at no cost to them. This is an amazing opportunity for students to get a head start on their higher education and increase their chances of college enrollment and completion.

This program ensures Massachusetts students are prepared for college or careers when they graduate high school.

We are excited to partner with East Boston High School to provide this valuable opportunity to students.

Sal's story is one of entrepreneurial spirit and building a thriving business. From a single location in Salem, New Hampshire, he's grown Sal's Pizza into a national success with over 100 locations and products in thousands of schools and stores. Beyond pizza, Sal founded The Lupoli Companies, a real estate firm that's revitalized gateway cities across Massachusetts.

Graduate Speaker: Chief Frank Frederickson, Director of Government Affairs for the Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police.

Chief Frederickson brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role. With 45 years in law enforcement, he's been a champion in the fight against human trafficking, the opioid crisis, and violent crime.

Don't miss the 20th Anniversary Reunion Show with performances by Fisher College Alumni! It's happening tomorrow, April 6 at 2 p.m. in Alumni Hall.

The novel takes us back to the golden age of film and sheds light on one of the 20th century's most notorious true crime tales. The book uncovers the dark side of Tinseltown's celebrity culture, highlighting toxic masculinity and casual violence against women. It tells the story of Lana Turner and her daughter, who bravely stood up against the abuse that plagued their family for years. Come listen to Casey speak about this untold story of Hollywood's most shocking crimes.

Maybelline Machuca is a third-year business management student with a double concentration in accounting and finance. She hails from Long Island and chose Boston as her college destination.

During the school year, she resides in Roslindale, just a twenty-minute commute from Fisher’s campus. Despite not living in Fisher’s dorms, Maybelline remains actively engaged in the school’s community.

She excels in her studies at Fisher while participating in various school activities and immersing herself in Boston's vibrant culture, ensuring she doesn't miss out on the college experience.
