Our friends at ZUMIX are hosting their annual Walk for Music, this Sunday, July 14th, from 3-6pm in East Boston!

It'll be a day full of community, joy, celebration, face painting, snacks, and live music! Funds raised make it possible for ZUMIX to provide high-quality music, media, and creative technology programs for over 1,000 young people each year.

Celebrity Series is happy to partner with organizations like ZUMIX. The Walk for Music will culminate with a free concert in Piers Park (6-8 pm). Everyone is welcome!

Creating meaningful and joyful human connection through music, Trio Oko highlights their distinctive harp trio instrumentation with the world premiere of a Solo(s) Together work by Indian-American composer Reena Esmail, created just for them. Esmail’s Piano Trio, rewritten for harp by Trio Oko’s Charles Overton, also features. Other selections honor the spirit of Solo(s) Together, giving performers space to shine, one at a time.

The visionary Quartet, called “simply the best” by The Boston Globe, is praised around the world for its interpretations of classic and contemporary works. Long before many other ensembles, the BSQ pioneered the use of multimedia in concert to bring visual arts, design, history, mathematics, and music together.

Young musicians from Boston String Academy’s Allston and Chinatown programs get an amazing opportunity when the Quartet coaches and performs alongside them in this Stringfest performance.

Celebrity Series of Boston was founded in 1938 by pianist and impresario Aaron Richmond. With a reputation for artistic excellence and innovative curation honed in the decades since, Celebrity Series now presents over sixty-five main stage performances in eight to ten different venues and over 150 community engagement activities annually.
