Helping college students discover God's dream for their lives.
We’re halfway through summer & already looking forward to getting to experience God’s dream all together this fall!
Welcome our Res10 interns for the 24-25 school year!! Nevalee is back for her second year, and Alec and Becca are ready for year one! We are so excited to have them on the team & we can’t wait to see how they will help students discover God’s dream.
Our Providence teams are crossing the pond to serve with two Globalscope Campus Ministries in Spain this spring break.
Here are the prayer requests from Rhode Island College & Providence College:
Please pray that each student will be encouraged to take that next faith step as they continue to discover God’s dream for their lives, whether interning, volunteering/leading more within Sojourn, or asking faith questions.
A group of our Boston teams are headed to the opposite coast this weekend to serve the community in Davis, California.
Here are the prayer requests from Boston University, UMass Boston, and Bread Coffeehouse:
Several students are exploring Jesus for the first time on this trip. Please pray for deeper conversations and wisdom to connect the dots for them. We will also have conversations about future internship opportunities, as most of the students on this trip are not seniors, so this week is setting the foundation for the next year of conversations.
This weekend, our University of Rhode Island and Sojourn Newport teams are headed to Mexico to work with - an organization that fights human trafficking! Here’s how you can be praying for them:
Pray that our students catch a vision of how God is working all around the world, not just in New England. Pray that they become passionate advocates for the fight against human trafficking. Pray they bond as a team and welcome each other with open hearts and minds. Pray for their hearts as they process the big emotions that come with confronting human trafficking.
It’s spring break time! Our teams are taking students all over the world this month & we need your prayers!
This week, our Northeastern University team is in Puebla, Mexico serving and learning from the Globalscope Campus Ministry there - here are their prayer requests:
Pray that students experience a compelling, Christ-centered community that inspires them to activate a similar community back on campus. Pray that they can experience the intersection of faith and joy.
Sojourn’s 13th annual Polar Plunge is coming up February 17! All the money raised goes to fight human trafficking. It’s a cause we care about a lot, and we have a lot of fun while making a difference. Here are some of our favorite snapshots from last year!
2023 Highlights: “9Square is always a favorite at URI, but this year was extra special. Consistently creating a space for students to have fun and take a break led to true community. Every Wednesday students knew they had a space to experience belonging and it showed.” - Mollie Smith, University of Rhode Island
2023 Highlights: “This moment was the result of a conversation that happened a decade ago. As a student at RIC, Sojourn was the community that I really needed and couldn’t find anywhere else. I’m grateful to now be a part of the team and begin more conversations that leave a lasting impact on the next generation.” - Deanna Rebello, Sojourn Providence
2023 Highlights: “We have a tradition at BU of celebrating the end of the semester with a White Elephant gift exchange and a game of telephone pictionary. It’s such a fun way to celebrate the end of a long semester and laugh until we cry!” - Linsey Field, Boston University
2023 Highlights: “It is so incredible to watch how as students experience God’s love, they can’t help but want to invite their friends into experiencing that, too. This picture shows some of our student leaders, who not only invited their friends to our event, but also made sure that new students felt welcomed. Seeing God’s love shown through community is such a beautiful thing.” - Sarah Basler, Sojourn Providence
2023 Highlights: “This was a semester of packing the big table. Love sharing meals together and making Family Dinner really feel like home.” - Nate Rubright, Bread Coffeehouse Boston
From our hearts to yours - we hope today is filled with love, joy, and peace. Merry Christmas!
2023 Highlights: “This team has been a great joy to work and grow with. God has moved in, among, and through us in beautiful ways.” - Rico Jordan, Boston University
2023 Highlights: “This photo is from Camp Sojourn, my favorite event of the year, where students with so many different stories come together for one amazing weekend.” - Emma Sexton, Sojourn Newport
2023 Highlights: “TLR is a welcoming place to explore life and faith! Nothing captures that better than this picture.” - Nate Felkel, Sojourn Providence
2023 Highlights: “When I told our students of my idea to lead my first outreach event: Craft your own Holiday Gift, they were all so excited to take up leadership roles and help make this event a success. This picture depicts the immense level of trust and care that has been cultivated over the last few months.” - Nevalee Hawkins, Boston University
2023 Highlights: “I love this picture! These leaders have brought so much joy and love to the Northeastern community, and it was so much fun celebrating a great semester with them!” - Lindsay Hicks, Northeastern University
