Just a quick note to let you know that we’re taking a little break next week. Our restaurant will be closed from 8/17 to 8/24 for some much-needed R&R. We will reopen on Monday 8/26!

We’ll be back with all your favorites and smiling faces (well maybe/maybe not)!! Thanks for your continued support! Can’t wait to see you when we return.

Tonight I attend the funeral services for a dear friend Michael Vito Lombardo. Ironiclly he has a family name that was dear to our hearts “Michael Vito”!

We met Michael a long time ago! We also knew his mom real well, that’s how the connection was made. Mike started working for us! Great kid, but we all
know what being young is all about! He had a strong mind, but tended to lean left instead of right! Tony took to Mike, and pushed him! Tony would pick him up for work everyday in Everett, and then when his day was done Tony would drive him home!
We have many funny stories of Mike! He started as a bus person, and then worked in the kitchen! We all loved him dearly! How could you not! He had something special.

Mike was good with computers, so good it brought Mike to the next level and he became a very successful, educated, young business man! He became a multi millionaire at a young age! He’s done what most of us hope to conquer by the age of who knows! Needless to say I am no where near that status!

Sadly Mike lost his life to lymphoma! Leaving behind his beautiful wife, 2 young daughter, his mother, sister and the list goes on.

I can’t express how this just doesn’t sit well with me! I spoke with his mom the other day she stated how Mike fought to his last breath. At the young age of 38 Mike lost his life. My heart is broken for his family. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers tonight! Live your life day by day like it’s your last, sadly we dont know what tomorrow will bring…

Fly high kid, god gained one of the great ones! Until we meet again……..❤️

Another Sunday Funday in the books, although missing many we still had a blast. Started our day off at Baylee’s for mimosas & muffins! Then headed to Moxies down the Seaport! Next we hit up Lifted, a rooftop pool & bar at the Omni Boston Hotel! Then made our way to Citrus & Salt for dessert and more drinks! Headed back to good old Eastie and finished our day at Mida! It was a much deserved fun day!

Come dine with us! We are open for lunch starting at 11! Beautiful day for out door dining! Our food makes Eastie streets look better!

Bar/restaurant Industry people are a different breed. I’ve never met anyone else that can run their asses off, on their feet nonstop for 12 straight hours with no break… constantly under extreme stress… only to have a person scream at them because their burger was “medium but not medium well” and still have the energy to calmly say ”I understand mam, I’ll fix it right away.”

Here’s to the service industry. The toughest people on the planet. I appreciate each and every one of you. You will never get the respect you deserve. But I see you. You are incredible humans. 💙💙💙

Coming soon, a new wine list!! We have you covered from a nice Chianti Classico, to a smooth but big Pinot Noir! On to a citrus Sauv Blanc, to the sweetest of Moscatos! Ending with Chef Tony’s selection including
Barolo, Super Tuscan, Duck Horn and ending it with a Silver Oak!!
Wine tasting was fun today! Sampling 24 new ones= legless!!

We had another Sunday Funday! We bowled and then went to dinner! During the year all of the servers save any extra dollar bills at the end of the night and we put them in a piggy bank! Well this past year we saved $296! We paid it forward and tipped our sever extra nice today! And, yes with all $296 being dollar bills! He was great and deserved it all! Although we think he thought we were trying to pull a fast one as we handed it to him in one of our white to go containers! Hahah!! Love hanging with my peeps 🤍
