Kicking Off Boston Rum Week! Join us downstairs at Row 34 Cambridge on Sunday, September 15th from 4:00 to 6:00 for an unofficial kick-off to .Rum.Week!

Special Guest Bartenders will be in house blending up Privateer rum frozen cocktails, and offering tastings of select Privateer rums plus snacks and light bites from the Row 34 kitchen. Q. What’s your favorite aspect of working at Row?
A. The staff, both FOH and BOH, are amazing. When we’re slammed during a busy service and everything runs smoothly because of them, I’m constantly in awe of the high volume and standard they maintain every single day.

Q. What’s your current favorite drink on the menu?
A. Choosing a favorite is like picking a favorite child! While our drink menu has many great options, I have a particular fondness for the classic Tom Collins. I love that I can enjoy one in any of our spaces.

Q. What’s your favorite dish on the menu right now?
A. At the moment, I’m all about the hot buttered lobster roll with shoestring fries instead of chips, and a side of mayo for dipping my fries—because, honestly, I have a bit of a problem.

Q. What’s a key lesson you’ve learned while working at Row?
A. I’ve learned how to be a better teammate and mentor. I enjoy rolling up my sleeves and working alongside our staff. I want them to know that while they’re giving their all, I’m right there with them, doing the same.

"One of the first, and arguably best, newer Seaport restaurants, this expansive spot serves fried Ipswich clams if they come in at the fish pier that morning. The lightly fried, super crispy clams come with a side of tartar sauce and Row 34’s excellent French fries. They’re open year-round, and if you’re a beer nerd, they have a fantastic offering of New England craft beers from brewers such as Connecticut’s Fox Farm and Mast Landing from Maine. It’s at Row 🦀 Grab a Soft Shell Green Crab Slider at our Boston location while they are here!

- Here’s the scoop on Green Crabs: They are considered an invasive species and have very few predators which allows them to overtake native species and destroy aquatic plant beds easily.

Our friends and Mike Masi collect these Green Crabs up in York, ME using “condos” (yes, we love this name too!) and wait for them to molt. Once they shed their exoskeletons, Sam & Mike catch ‘em and bring them over to us at Row 34 - and boom! Soft Shell Green Crab Sliders for you!

By coming up with creative (and delicious!) ways to utilize invasive species, we can help alleviate some of the problems that they cause in our local waters! So, enjoy a bite of Green Crab when you find it on our menu and know you’re doing some good. 🤝
