Hearing loss from too much noise is the biggest threat no one knows about. Up to 1 in 4 adults ages 20-60 show signs of hearing loss due to noise exposure.
Just like you wouldn’t sunbathe for 10 hours a day or eat candy for every meal, too much of anything is too much. Occasional indulgences followed by “rest” periods gives our bodies time to “heal” form the “overexposure”. Same with our ears. We need to give our ears a break with quiet times and sound breaks to allow for recovery from overexposure.
One of the causes of tinnitus, or ringing in the ears, is damage from overexposure.
