Another McNeill Summer in the books✅
This summer was full of planning📝, detours🚜🚧, meetings👥, trainings/retreats and of course Summer Launch📇💻
We are soooo excited to see you SOON & ready to welcome our new Buffs!🦬💙💛🖤
For now, we will be settling back to business, and obviously be…
very Demure✨
very Mindful✨
The McNeill Academic Program wishes you endless joy and relaxation as you embark on this exciting new chapter.📖 You have seen generations of students trickle through their Pre-Collegiate journey as students, to student staff and even some as professional staff, within PCDP and throughout campus. Although you won’t be humoring us with your soft spoken voice and directing us in your gentle ways, it was a pleasure to have shared space as PCDP students and campus partners with you.🫂
All the best, Theresa💙🖤💛 (BigT)
Have a safe 4th of July and a restful extended weekend🎆
This Pride month we wish to honor and recognize Kelvin McNeill, our program’s namesake, and his intersectional identities as a Black Gay Man. Our work is rooted in advocacy and Kelvin committed his life to advocating for others both in his time at CU Boulder and with the City of Boulder. In 1998 Kelvin was briefly featured in The Advocate, a well-recognized American LGBT magazine. There he was highlighted for his philanthropy with the Gay and Le***an Fund for Colorado, a part of the Gill Foundation, in which Kelvin and the Fund donated $700,000 to various nonprofit groups in Colorado Springs, and the Gill Foundation in total nearly $1.9 million to over 23 organizations at the time of the article’s publication. This Pride, we thank Kelvin for his work and advocacy, as we all strive for a more equitable future for all students and people. Happy Pride! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🦬

Today, we honor the efforts of Ms. Opal Lee and other activists who fought to ensure recognition of the date that the LAST city in the US to be liberated from enslavement happened. We have the moral duty and obligation to commemorate all history☝️ May the academic world be accountable for recognizing its power in uplifting all voices and narratives, especially those of historically disenfranchised!
