Atlanta Humane Society
The Atlanta Humane Society is a 150-year old, no-kill sheltering organization, with more than 100,000 animal-care touchpoints each year with their community. This headquarters facility replaces an aging building in Midtown Atlanta, with a new shelter on a five-acre campus, with room to grow.
The shelter was designed in collaboration with a local architecture firm and features Fear Free animal housing for dogs and cats. Dogs are housed to reduce overstimulation, allow for enrichment in and out of their housing, and improve their adoptability. Cats are housed in their own private area, far away from dogs, with enrichments, views, and access to the outside.
The shelter also contains space for new and expanding programs to serve the community, including foster care for animals, resources to help keep pets in their loving homes, outreach and education, and behavior enrichment and training programs.

Riverwalk Pet Hospital & Resort in Grapevine, Texas
Riverwalk Pet Hospital and Resort is the result of its ownersâ dream to create a Fear Free Pets practice in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area.
The owners wanted the building to have a calming, spa-like feel from the entry through the facility. The reception and lobby area features ceiling-height windows which bring in abundant natural light. The space also contains a waterfall feature, natural stone elements, and comfortable seating to make the space feel tranquil to clients and pets.
The hospital has two covered outdoor waiting and exam areas for more fearful pets. It also has two feline-only exam rooms, a feline treatment area, and a cat ward all within close proximity to allow for maximum cat and dog separation in the medical areas.
We love working with clients to design spaces that consider every aspect of the health and well-being of pets!
