Embracing panoramic views from East to West, the design features a striking cantilevered curve across the main and upper levels. A very steep site proved challenging, but allowed us to carve out usable outdoor space for the owners to enjoy.

The stunning main level is where communal living meets modern elegance, offering seamless flow from an expansive great room to a sunlit dining area and stylish kitchen. With nearly 50 feet of floor-to-ceiling windows, every view is a masterpiece, bathing the space in natural light from dawn till dusk. 🌞✨

✨ Upstairs Highlights ✨ The upstairs features a stunning large curved exterior wall that perfectly frames the breathtaking views. This level includes the luxurious primary suite, a cozy guest bedroom, a convenient laundry room, ample storage, and even an elevator for easy access.

For the flooring, we chose durable porcelain large format tiles from a company known for its top-notch sustainability standards. The smaller decorative tiles are made from 100% recycled glass, adding a unique touch while being eco-friendly. 🌱♻️ 🏡💫

Highlighting the kitchen’s focal point: a stunning suspended hood seamlessly integrated with a sleek black fenix island. The wood-paneled back wall adds warmth and can be closed for a minimalist touch. The kitchen’s rear wall forms a wooden box that visually ties to the entry cube. Beyond the kitchen, a three-story wood slat screen connects all three levels of the home. An inviting breakfast bar nestled within, perfect for casual mornings.

The experience on entry into the home is private and cocooned from the exterior. The entrance foyer leads toward an artful wood staircase. Upon entering the house the owner’s artwork is framed by the back wall of the kitchen and the 3-story stair screen that connects all three levels and speaks to the exterior screens.

From the street, horizontal wood fins guide you to the front door and become an exciting architectural element connecting all three levels of the home. The fins provide sun shading and a modicum of privacy from the street and the adjacent properties.

The annual AIA Colorado Design & Honor award program took place on September 19th and HMH is proud of Stephanie Bingham on receiving the 2023 AIA Colorado President’s Award for her important work promoting architecture in and around Boulder.

The President’s Award recognizes a community member in Colorado who has significantly contributed to the advancement of architecture from a vantage point outside of a firm or a traditional practice career.
