Some feel good news on this Halloween! Thanks to our Deputy Director, Michelle Hines and team for playing a small role in an activity that teaches our youth kindness and honors our aging population.
High school seniors fill carts for a cause in 2nd annual Supermarket Sweep Organized by Price Less IGA and Independence Bank, the “Seniors Feeding Seniors” event saw students from Logan County High School and Russellville High School teaming up to support their community.
BRADDs board met today and PINKED out for Breast Cancer Awareness. Among routine business was the approval of quarterly financials, presentation from KACo’s Shellie Hampton and recognition of Melissa Dorsey, 1 Year Service as Case Manager.
The BRADD Board will meet tomorrow, October 30, 2024 at 1pm for our monthly meeting. We encourage all to wear pink as we recognize Breast Cancer Awareness month!

Ivory Meeks is the Districts newest Centenarian! Ms Meeks received a special visit this week as Warren County Judge-Executive Doug Gorman presented a special Proclamation and BRADD Executive Director presented a plaque celebrating her recent 100th birthday! The ADD network & BRADD was well represented this week at the KY League of Cities Annual Training Conference. Five BRADD area legislators were recognized as Friend of KY Cities and the City of Bowling Green was named 2024 City Government of the Year! BRADD staff have been attending the Aging and SHIP Conference in Lexington this week, engaging in key issues affecting older adults. Topics include financial literacy, family caregiver support, elder fraud prevention, veteran services, and helping seniors age in place.
BRADD's Aging Services Division will be hosting a Presubmittal Conference to provide general information regarding contracting for services provided through BRADD. The meeting will take place 10.9.2024 @ 10am.
