I freaking love Philosophy and I love it even more when it colors outside the lines and questions more than just behaviors.
Philosophical insights often resonate across time, providing frameworks to understand contemporary phenomena. Plato's Allegory of the Cave offers a powerful metaphor for the human condition, highlighting the challenges of breaking free from ignorance to achieve enlightenment. The resistance faced by Walter Russell and now Terrance Howard and these revolutionary ideas serves as a modern illustration of Plato's allegory, showcasing how deeply entrenched beliefs can hinder the acceptance of new knowledge.
In Plato's Cave, prisoners are chained in a dark cave, facing a wall where shadows of objects cast by a fire behind them constitute their perceived reality. One prisoner escapes and discovers the outside world, realizing that the shadows were mere illusions. Upon returning to the cave to enlighten the others, he is met with resistance and hostility, as the prisoners cling to their familiar shadows, fearing the unknown reality beyond the cave.
My copy of Walter Russell's 1926 masterpiece The Universal One is on it's way to me...but as I wait I hope we can examine one of the most consequential podcasts of modern history and how it is literally traveling through the collective consciousness like wildfire...it's daring us to question, to examine, to discuss what lies beyond the shadows on the cave wall.
Terrence Howard studied Walter Russell, who was a polymath and his life's work spanned science, art, and philosophy and proposed a holistic and interconnected view of the universe. His theories, challenged conventional scientific paradigms, suggesting that matter and energy are manifestations of a single, divine force in a universe governed by rhythmic balanced interchange.
As Terrence Howard described..."the inhale followed by the exhale" the universal breath.
Despite the depth and breadth of his ideas, Russell's work was largely dismissed by the mainstream scientific community. His lack of formal scientific training and the unconventional nature of his theories made them difficult for many to accept. Sadly, I think Terrence Howard will also experience this.
Just as the prisoners in the cave clung to their familiar shadows, the scientific community, accustomed to established paradigms will resist these new and challenging concepts.
The escaped prisoner's struggle to convince the others of the truth beyond the cave mirrors what is happening today as this information goes viral.
Plato's allegory highlights the fear of the unknown as a significant barrier to enlightenment. The prisoners prefer the security of their familiar shadows over the disorienting brightness of the outside world. In the same vein, the scientific community's resistance to these ideas reflects a fear of abandoning well-established theories for uncharted intellectual territories.
By examining this resistance through the lens of Plato's allegory, we gain a deeper understanding of the enduring human struggle to overcome ignorance and achieve enlightenment.
I'd love to know your thoughts. :)
Thank you all for the beautiful birthday wishes as I took a few days away from Facebook to process some stuff
Today I am considering how magical practices tug at the heartstrings of those who yearn for a different world. Those who want a world infused with beauty, love, wonder and mystery.
Magic, in its purest form, invites us to believe in the power of the unseen, to trust that life is more than just the tangible and explainable. It is a bridge between the known and the mysterious, a way for humans to connect with nature, the divine, and the deeper aspects of the self. The rituals and ceremonies, rich with symbolism and intent, help forge communities and share understandings. They weave stories that tie people to their history and to each other.
The decline of these magical beliefs marked not just a loss of innocence or imagination, but a shift in how we perceive the world around us. No longer did we look to the whispering trees, the moonlit paths, or the flowing rivers as holders of mystical powers or spiritual guardians. Instead, we pass them by, heads down, lost in screens and the hum of the mechanical.
Yet, I know this loss is not total, it's not irreversible. For those who feel the absence of magic, there is an opportunity—a call to reintegrate wonder into the everyday. Whether through the arts, through renewed rituals, or simply through allowing ourselves to marvel at the universe's mysteries, we can invite a bit of that old magic back into our lives.
To believe in magic again is to allow ourselves to experience awe and wonder at the cosmos and our place within it, reconnecting with the ancient human spirit that always dared to dream big and believe in the unseen.
I love you all! Have a magical day.
Who else actually feels this way? I study ancient wisdom traditions and religions on the daily...it's a bit of a passion for me. Ask me anything...if I don't know I promise I will go seek the answer. And even if I do think I know I will check my facts if presented with some compelling information. The old ways are bubbling to surface...I know you feel it too.
So Alex Rutland and I were talking...who in our amazing little Beltane Group (or those who wanted to attend Beltane but could not for some reason) would consider coming to a Litha Celebration? This is the Summer Solstice or Midsummer and it is traditionally June 19-23....this year it comes early but we were thinking of celebrating it as a "Pool Party" Friday evening June 20th. You know we will have special stuff planned...Beltane is primarily about Fire & Earth...Litha is primarily about Fire & Water. ;) So...who would come...or who wants to help us make this one happen? Input is sooooo appreciated and helpful. This is the post that prompted today's video. There are many on this list that I am neutral on...but wow, there are few that I feel deeply. Children make sense of the world by what is happening in the moment. My mother would heap praise on me and show me lots of love and affection if I "performed well"...especially in front of her friends. As a little girl this meant that I had to "earn love" through "performing". I mean really, be honest at 3 or 4 years old we do not understand nuances we just see cause and effect. So yes, some wounds come unintentionally.
Just heard someone describe Facebook as a "Rage Farm". Damn...that landed. I mean they have actually told us this right?
Hey everyone! I was thinking about how my friendships have changed over time. Sometimes it makes me sad but I know it's totally normal for some friendships to fade as our lives shift. Whether it's because of a move, a job change or because we are evolving as people... it can really sting when a friendship ends, especially if it happens suddenly.
🌱 But here's the thing, every friendship teaches us something. As tough as it can sometimes be, these changes push us to grow! They make us think about what we really value in our relationships and teach us a bit more about ourselves. Sometimes, the end of one friendship opens the door to new ones that better match our current path and sometimes our world just gets a little smaller. Both are perfectly okay.
Right now I am learning to embrace opportunities to meet new friends who share my current interests and value system. But, I will always invest in the friendships that have stood by me through thick and thin! It’s always the perfect time to strengthen old connections.
💪 Remember, it's okay to feel sad about a lost friendship, but it's also okay to move forward. Each person who comes into our lives brings something unique, and sometimes they only stay for a season. That's just part of the journey. Today I am taking time to reflect on the positives those friendships brought into my life and how they've shaped who I am today.
🌟 So here’s to the friends we’ve loved, the ones we’ve lost, and the new ones we’ve yet to meet!
Keep growing, keep loving, and keep making those connections. They’re what life’s all about. Let’s keep our hearts open and our circles dynamic!
Something has been sitting with me for a while...and it's time to say it!
We women are often taught to explore the phases of Maiden, Mother, and Crone, and indeed, these each represent key stages in our lives. However, there's a critical, and vibrant chapter that's frequently overlooked. One that I currently find myself in. The "Wild Woman" phase.
This phase is just as crucial as the others and it's steeped in rich history not often talked about in the mainstream. Why? I have one answer for that...it's also one of the most powerful periods in a woman's life!
The Wild Woman phase is nestled between Motherhood and the wisdom of the Crone. And... it is an amazing period of self-discovery and freedom!
Ladies, the Wild Woman archetype is not a modern invention but a deep-seated figure in global mythology and folklore. From the Hindu Goddess Kali, embodying destruction and rebirth, to the Celtic Warrior Queen Boudicca, who defied the Roman Empire, these figures illustrate the untamed, powerful aspects of femininity connected to nature and the primal forces of life.
Similarly, in Greek mythology, Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt and Wilderness, symbolizes independence and strength, echoing the Wild Woman's themes of autonomy and connection to the natural world.
Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés brought renewed focus to this archetype in her book "Women Who Run with the Wolves," where she explores how these ancient stories reflect enduring truths about women’s instinctual and wild nature. I strongly suggest you check this book out!
So...why is it important to recognize the Wild Woman phase?
Recognizing the Wild Woman phase allows us to acknowledge the full expression of female energy and wisdom. It gives space for women to explore their deepest desires and untapped potential outside the traditional roles society often imposes.
Let's empower women to reclaim a part of themselves that society has long neglected. Here’s to celebrating every facet of the female experience! Here's to my very own Wild Woman Phase and here's to yours!🌙✨

Social Media makes us rude. Putting off answering a message from a friend & then forgetting to respond tells them they are not important to you. No one is that busy.
For years I have crafted. Sometimes it's food, sometimes it's my finances, sometimes it's my health,...but for years I have used The Right Hand Path. Recently, I have had a few questions from friends as to what I mean by this.
We have many choices in this life. Many forks in the proverbial road. One is the choice between a Right Hand Path and a Left Hand Path practice.
But what do I really mean by this?
The easy way to say it is...the Right Hand Path is associated with practices that align with societal norms and ethics. It emphasizes adherence to universal laws. It seeks to harmonize with the divine, aiming for spiritual enlightenment and the betterment of all. It's a path of light, healing, and selflessness.
The Left Hand Path, on the other hand, embraces the shadow as much as the light. It is a path of self-deification, where personal freedom and individualism are paramount. Left Hand Path practitioners often challenge societal norms and explore the darker aspects of spirituality. It's a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and breaking boundaries.
Both paths offer profound insights and experiences. The choice between them depends on one's personal beliefs, goals, and the kind of relationship they wish to have with the universe.
The practice you choose is a reflection of your inner world and desires. Whether you walk in the light, explore the shadows, or find a unique balance between the two, the path is always yours to define. 🌒🌓🌔
For me, where paths diverge and philosophies intersect, the Right Hand Path is my beacon of light, guiding me to harmony and deep connection with the universal divine.
You may be asking what practices I identify as Right Hand Path. Well, they usually emphasize the importance of discipline and adherence to universal laws, aiming always for spiritual enlightenment and the betterment of oneself and others.
Believe it or not, a Yoga Teacher leading people through a transformative and healing class is a Right Handed Practitioner. With my crafting I always pursue the path that leads to healing, compassion, and growth.
Here are a few examples of my Right Hand Path work:
Spellcraft: Often focused on healing, protection, and blessings designed to positively affect oneself and others, always promoting wellbeing without manipulating free will.
Meditation and Prayer: Deep, contemplative practices that aim to connect with the divine, seek inner peace, and foster a sense of oneness with the universe. Meditation and prayer are foundational to understanding one's place in the cosmos and aligning with higher principles.
Altruism and Community Service: Acts of kindness and service are practical manifestations of Right Hand Path ideals. Engaging in community service, offering support to those in need, and promoting social justice are ways I live my values.
Study of Sacred Texts: Delving into sacred writings and philosophical works, I seek wisdom and guidance from the ancients, interpreting these teachings to navigate the modern world ethically and spiritually.
Ritual Magic for Positive Outcomes: Rituals and ceremonies designed to attract positive energies, foster personal growth, and protect against negativity. These rituals are performed with respect for all beings and without intent to harm or control.
The Right Hand Path is a journey of light, offering a way to grow spiritually while contributing positively to the world around us. It's a path that celebrates the interconnectedness of all life and the pursuit of universal harmony.
Lastly, do not come for me in the comments. The Right Hand Path is a Path...it is NOT a religion...that is for an entirely different post.🌟
Hard to face truth bomb incoming....
"Discernment is the ability to judge well and make good decisions". I was just speaking to a friend about how important it is to use discernment when choosing friends because they can have a such a big impact on our lives. I have very few real friends (but lots of acquaintances).
Why? Well, friends can influence our thoughts, beliefs, and actions, and can either help us grow or hold us back. Discernment in choosing friends means we are able to identify those who share our values, goals, and interests. We clearly see those who will be a positive influence on our lives and help us grow as individuals.
Seriously, choose high vibrational friends who are honorable, supportive, trustworthy, and encouraging. Those who are constantly battling a drama are a drain and lower your overall frequency.

"Wow, what an improvement!!
These are Mya’s pictures. Unfiltered. When masks became mandated in school her face took a turn for the worse and we couldn’t get it under control. For a short while, she even tried two different medications that did absolutely nothing but provide awful side effects.
Made a few adjustments to her supplement routine and now her skin looks beautiful again. ❤️ Mya also doesn’t wear any makeup. Both are her natural skin." Thank you Jwana Slavin, this is so powerful!
