Dave Winklman has been pursuing two Solar Power Grants that have been applied for and approved. Dave, Jon and Peter Nelson are asking for support for the installation technicalities of solar energy out at the park and you can contact one of them if interested.

Thank you Captain Jeff for covering what Salvation Army does and where donations go to! The Brainerd Noon Rotary enjoys Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army every year! This year our group raised over $13,000 in one day of ringing!
At todays meeting we had a Rotary Notary from Sarah Smith! We also had new Rotarian Trevor Pumnea from Northland Arboretum share what’s new and changing at the Arb!

We had a wonderful time at the Crow Wing County Fair talking about Rotary and the peach sale!
All proceeds form this peach sale fund international humanitarian projects in 3rd world countries. Some of the projects we have funded include:
* Portable ultrasounds to Honduras
* Supported a camp in Canada for disabled veterans
* Provided medical supplies and equipment in East Timor
* Supported Hurricane relief in Barbuda
* For 10 years in Haiti we: installed a sanitation station for composting waste, built a school, created an economic development program for women, built public toilets, started a chicken project, got a community rice mill up and running, dig wells for clean water, built a medical clinic, and built a church.
