Dear La Femme clients and well wishers,
we have an announcement to make. This year will be 15 years since the inception of our beloved studio. Can you believe it?! Myself (Ann), my daughter Brie and my late husband Leo put our blood, sweat and tears into this place. We spent a whole year customizing every detail so we could create the best possible experience for you to enjoy. It’s been our greatest pleasure . Thank you so much for walking through our doors all these years and putting your trust in us. We don’t take that lightly. Together we have created a really wonderful community and we are grateful you have welcomed us into your lives.
So…,
They say the only thing constant in life is change and we are riding the wave of change.
La Femme is not going anywhere it will just be evolving and morphing into something different than you currently know it to be.
We are excited to announce that La Femme will have a new home just a couple miles down the road on Brick blvd at the Arie salon suites. I (Ann) will have my own private salon suite and right down the hall (in the same location) will be Lee and Jess in a two person salon suite as they are joining forces as Brick & Mane hair studio.

As of right now we are still open and operating out of our original location and nothing has changed with any of your appointments. We will update you when we get an exact moving date but it will be before the end of summer.
Thank you so much for your patience, support and understanding as we move through this transition. We will try to make it as seamless as possible. We are excited for this new chapter and we can’t wait to share this new space with you!

We are taking your health and safety seriously! Read how below...
🔹 Our Cosmetology licenses already require extensive training in sanitization, disinfection and sterilization. We decided it was important to refresh our knowledge and pay specific attention to the new coronavirus, covid-19.
🔹 All stylists on our team have taken ADDITIONAL certifications to ensure we have the most up to date knowledge in regards to proper disinfection and Covid-19.
🔹 Fun fact: Barbicide has been approved by the EPA and a third party lab to be an effective disinfectant against Human Coronavirus including COVID-19. Woohoo!!!
🔹 So what is barbicide?
It’s the blue liquid in the jar that holds our combs on our stations. Actually, it’s an EPA registered disinfectant that is commonly used in salons/barbershops/spas to kill fungus 🍄 , bacteria 🧫 and viruses 🦠(like covid-19).
🔹 We will be using barbicide solutions to disinfect all non-porous surfaces in the salon before each client’s appointment to ensure covid-19 exposure (via direct surface contact) is at a minimum.
🔹 Long story short, We care about you.

These are my certificates but I can assure you, you will see everyone’s certificates throughout the salon when we open!

Hi friends! Just a few notes on what to expect at your next hair appointment.

1️⃣ - Please arrive 10 mins early, and call us as soon as you park. To reduce possible exposure we will only allow entry once we are 100% ready to service you.
2️⃣ - Please wear a mask/face covering before entering the salon. • A “behind the ears” style of mask is the only style that will allow us to do our jobs effectively. A disposable mask will be even better for coloring purposes.
3️⃣ - Upon entering the salon we will do a mandatory temperature scan via a forehead thermometer (state mandated).
• If you have a temperature over 100.4°f you will have to reschedule (no exceptions).
4️⃣ - You will have to answer a series of covid-19 symptom screening questions (state mandated). If you are symptomatic, we will have to reschedule your appointment .
5️⃣ - You will be provided with hand sanitizer to use before moving beyond the front desk area.
6️⃣ - We will have some physical barriers placed throughout the salon for added protection.
7️⃣ - Please bring your own beverage and reading material.
8️⃣ - To reduce capacity, only those who are receiving a service will be allowed into the salon. ***The ONLY exception is a minor (who is receiving a service) may be accompanied by one adult.
9️⃣ - All areas will be sanitized before your arrival and between each client.
🔟 - Lastly, if you sneeze, expect a prompt Lysol spray to the face. Just kidding. 😂

We are taking this seriously and will be following the guidelines set by the state to keep you as safe as possible. But we need your cooperation. Please be honest with us in regards to symptoms. Also keep in mind these guidelines may change at anytime so please bare with us. We miss you all and can’t wait to get you back in our chairs!!

Hope everyone is staying cool on this hot day. We are getting to everyone’s missed appointments and messages. Please if you feel that somehow you fell through the cracks give us a call and leave a message and your stylist will get back to you as soon as they can. If you called recently and haven’t received a call back please wait a few days before leaving another message so the system doesn’t get clogged up. Counting down the days to we can see you ❤️🙏

Please be patient as we begin to go through our on going list of missed appointments while we start to reschedule those appointments. Our top priority right now is the clients that missed there March, April, and May appointments. If you don’t hear from us within the next two weeks please reach out to make sure we get you in. We are working on getting an app set up so that we can book your appointments from anywhere. Hopefully that will be up and running on Monday. We love you all.

We finally got a date! We will be starting to take clients June 23!!! Thank you all for being patient at this difficult time for all of us. We can’t wait to get our hands back in your hair. We will start calling everyone in a week or so to start to book everyone’s appointments. Thank you for all your support ❤️❤️

The governor is supposed to be making an important announcement tomorrow let’s hope that includes a date that we can start to reopen. We can’t wait to see you all 🤞

The governor said today we are getting closer to stage 2 of reopening which we will be a part of. So please keep your fingers crossed that the news will come shortly of a date we can reopen. We all can’t wait to see and hear about everything you have been up to the past couple of months.

Murphy says N.J. salons, gyms could reopen in ‘a matter of weeks.' And here’s his latest on schools. Gov. Phil Murphy made the comments Thursday morning during a round of media interviews about the state's recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.

Hi everyone! How is everyone holding up in these crazy times. We are getting closer to having a date from the governor when we can reopen. From what I have read and talked with a few people we should be in the next phase of opening. So let’s hope that happens soon because we miss you and can’t wait to hear about everything you have been up to during these times.
We will be offering at home color kits this Saturday morning again starting from 10-11 if there is a demand we will extend it until 12. Please call the salon before Saturday morning if you are interested so that we know that you are coming and we can explain how to go about receiving one. We will call you back Saturday morning to make sure you are still coming in.

Hi friends. I know everyone is anxious to get their hair done. I’ve even had some box dye questions. To be honest, you’ll never get a recommendation for a box dye from me. They are unpredictable and can cause a lot of damage. Also some box dyes make it IMPOSSIBLE for me to color your hair after you have used them.

Hi everyone! We hope you all are doing well ! During this time we understand that there are many inconveniences and not being able to get your color done is one of them . It is in our professional opinion that offering
“at home color kits “would not be a feasible thing to do at this time for many reasons :

*we want to really give a good effort in flattening the curve and not risking exposure for everyone

*we want to be able to have supplies stocked for you when we are ready to re open

*we don’t currently have enough tools to be given out to everyone at this time

*people who are licensed professionals should only handle professional chemicals. There are many things that could go wrong ; misapplication of the product, not leaving the product on long enough , improper removing of the color , risk of getting the chemicals in your eyes, etc .

What we can recommend is a temporary color root spray that covers the desired area and washes out the next time you shampoo. (This is mainly for gray)There are many companies that sell this type of product .

We are all in this together ! We value you and your loyalty ! We can’t wait to get back to being of service to you . Hope you are healthy and staying busy ❤️

Just checking in with everyone. Hopefully you are all healthy and safe. Unfortunately we still don’t have an exact time that we can reopen. As soon as we can we are ready to rock and roll. If you had an appointment during this time we will do everything we can to get you back in as soon as we reopen. Due to growing concerns of the corona virus and the well being of our staff and clients, if you are sick or bring anyone into the salon that is sick (coughing , sneezing etc.) we cannot service you at this time. Please be considerate and stay home, take care of yourself and we will be here when you are better. We are taking every precaution to ensure a safe environment in the salon.
