Thank you to everyone who came out to the State Street Farmer's Market today!
We still have a few $10 pint jar mini bouquets and $20 quart size "just right" bouquets that I made at the market after we sold out of the first set, and lots of elephant head amaranth, candy stripe cosmos, moody sunflowers and unicorn zinnias and accompanying ingredients if you need flowers in your life.
Next market for us is August 31st for farewell-to-summer/Labor Day! Until then, we are harvesting 5 days a week. Just message us with what you are looking for, and we will try our best to help ๐
Calling all Dr. Seuss lovers! We will have Elephant Head Amaranth (sold by the stem) this Saturday at the State Street Farmer's Market. Believe it or not, we pinched most of these to get smaller flower heads; they just live that thicc life just like the rest of us ladies on the mountain ;) These are driable/everlasting for use in crafts or your personal decor, too :) but also great in a sword fight if you don't care to keep 'em.
If we don't see you, have a magical weekend!
So excited to share our new zinnias with y'all at the State Street Farmer's Market on Saturday, August 17th. We are back to designed bouquets/arrangements this week instead of a stem bar!
We skipped bramble berry season this year while we focused on infrastructure and long-term projects, so it is nice to see this shout-out from one of our customers who made delicious gourmet jams with our wineberries a couple of summers ago.
Saving energy to prune our best bramble patches and trellising and mulching to create workable pathways for harvest this fall and winter = berries will be back and better than ever in the coming years

I'll take two scoops of sunshine, please! ๐
No market this week, but we expect to be back to the market in downtown Bristol on Saturday, August 17th!
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Healing Hydration 2nd Anniversary Party. We just wrapped up on 6th Street a little early (still a couple of hours after the rain scared everyone else off, though ๐คฃ)!
We are still out and about in downtown Bristol, and the bouquets are in a buddy's walk-in cooler, so holler if you see something you love and want to meet up!
๐๐ Today's the day! It's party day at Healing Hydration, our 2nd Anniversary Party! ๐๐

Join us for free cupcakes, cookies until they run out, and a free prize for every kid who participates. We'll also have free face painting to add to the fun!

POV: You're the Thor Mountain ladies, and you spent all day prepping for the Healing Hydration 2nd Anniversary Party pop-up tomorrow, so naturally you "made" a new friend ๐คช
See y'all out there with our mason jar bouquets (mini and just right) and big wrapped bouquets tomorrow 11am-6pm!
JAZZY'S GUIDE TO A PERFECT RAINY SATURDAY MORNING IN DOWNTOWN BRISTOL:
8am-10am (30 mins unless you're a talker like me): Hit up the State Street Farmer's Market early for the best selection of our fellow local farmers' goodies (flowers, naturally grown produce, goat cheese, delicious meats and artisanal crafts). We won't be vending, but we will pop through for snacks on our way to set up on 6th St. State Street Farmer's Market goes until noon if you decide to sleep in!
10:15am: Walk to Urban Thistle for a GF BRUNCH out of the rain.
11:15am: Walk another block down to find us and 20 other vendors. We will have bouquets made in their entirety of things we naturally grow and forage at Thor Mountain/Thor Mtn Town f/k/a my yard and my aunt's crochet coozies, upcycled etched glass and carved and burned wooden tools, fiber arts, and more! 20 vendors, giveaways, and fun.
Plus, you can meet our new friend ๐
For my afternoon folks, there will be lots of places to dip into nearby for a bite or a beer (or an IV drip at Healing Hydration if you already had too many beers), so if it rains, just remember what Aunt Tin Tin says - "I ain't the Wicked Witch - I won't melt!"
Original photo cred to Amber or Rosie, I'll clarify later!
(Also, how about that FB filter, eh? It is as loopy as I feel right now ๐คฃ๐คฃ)
The bottom petals of this Unicorn Mix zinnia are just a smidge away from one of the rarest colors in nature: Teal. I am tickled pinkish-blue-green! ๐
We will be featuring these precious li'l ombre-cupcakes-by-the-stem in our mason jar mini bouquets and taller wrapped bouquets this weekend at the Healing Hydration 2nd Anniversary Party (11am to 6pm). Come enjoy the last weekend before school starts (rain or shine) and eat some free EDIBLE cupcakes and take a chance at one of their giveaways while supplies last :)

Happy Monday from this pretty lady! I'm not sure what her name is since it isn't the variety of gladiolus I ordered.
The swap is pure luck since my goal is to grow as many apricot and salmon and other pink/orange sunset colors as I can get my hands on ๐ I just love her.
(We hope to have more of this variety at the Healing Hydration party this weekend!)
We had such an amazing time at the Haggle Art Pop-Up last night. Thank you to everyone who came out to check out our flowers and Korean melons (grown or foraged by us, as always) and Tin Tin's hand etched glass, wood carving, felt, weaving and needle punch artisanal crafts (we like to stay busy in this family, haha)!
P.S. These two big bouquets have nearly identical components, but in a light colorway and a dark - our play on the duality of nature and ourselves.
Bouquets in process for tonight! The theme of the day is tropical sunset ๐
๐ต๐บโค๏ธ๐
Also SURPRISE! We are bringing a limited quantity of Korean melons (the only time we expect to have them this year). See you tonight at Elderbrew (6th Street between State St and Shelby (TN side!)).
Some of the zinnias that will be available for y'all tomorrow night at Elderbrew, 6-10pm at the Haggle Art Pop-Up. We are trying to let them grow as many layers as possible before we harvest them, so we're tucking in our favorites to protect 'em and minimize any damage from the elements until tomorrow. Sweet dreams, my pretties!
People sometimes tell us they don't buy flowers because they die too quickly. Our family is pretty utilitarian, but you'd be amazed at how much life is left in even a dearly departed flower. While other methods preserve the fresh form of the flower better, we love the crinkly natural look air-drying gives these cosmos. See y'all at Elderbrew this Friday night!
Here's where to find us now through August 14th - all in Bristol, TN!
***Saturday, July 20 (tomorrow)- 8am to noon -Christmas in July at the State Street Farmer's Market (810 State St)
***Friday, July 26 - 6pm to 10pm - Night Market at Elderbrew (24 6th St)
***Saturday, August 3 - 11am-6pm - Healing Hydration's 2nd Anniversary Party (32 6th St)
***Send us a DM if you need something outside of these windows.
See you soon!

It's hard to feel too sorry for yourself when your blooms greet you with a particularly silly face in the morning. We've been blessed with rain, y'all! See you at the State Street Farmer's Market Saturday!
Greetings from the Cosmos patch! Cosmos are photoperiod sensitive (blooming best when daylight time is less than 14 hours), but since we planted these babies early, our patch is mature enough to keep blooming through these long days!
The sunset colors we are growing don't have the best vase life even when you cut them before they open, but they are so cheery while they last; the white and pink varieties we are growing are fluffier and last longer.
They have quirky bends and shapes; my suggested mnemonic device for remembering their name is to think of Cosmo Kramer - lanky, eccentric, and a joy to have around.
New insect sightings (some beneficial, some annoying) - don't worry, we are staying busy while we aren't at market ๐คฃ current plans are to return on August 6th for the Healing Hydration anniversary party; we'll update y'all if that changes! Giving away a lot of flowers until then except for online orders for delivery or meetups ๐
It's a mystery to me that carnations - especially these gorgeous French heirlooms - ever fell out of style. They smell like cloves (the flowers are edible) and have one of the best vase life times I've seen so far. I also think they're stunning en masse. Anyone else think they deserve another chance?
I'm working on my arranging skills starting with shorties, but I still have a long way to go!
Bouquet bar still set up at the State Street Farmer's Market until noon today! If you miss us, shoot me a note on Facebook, Instagram or text or leave me a voice message to let me know what you need (276-614-4920 - make sure you reference Thor :) so I call you back)
Tomorrow (Saturday) at the State Street Farmer's Market, in addition to our special edition flower bouquet bar, we will have these beautiful baby carrots for your holiday table (carrots on Independence Day?! If summer can come in spring, surely spring can join us for summer - welcome to Tennessee!). Put 'em on the grill, stick em on a bun and smear it with a pesto you make from the tops! It'll give your vegetable forward friends something to chew on ;) Each bunch is different, and the carrots included in each mix will be one of following varieties: Dragon, Scarlet Nantes, Red Cored Chantenay and Cosmic Purple!
We will also have fresh berries and summer savory.
The bouquet bar will be by the stem, generally $1 per flower stem, $2 for gladiolus or sunflowers, and 2/$1 for the accompanying cast - get creative on your own, or give us a budget and have us make one for you!
See you bright and early!!
Red, white, blue and SUNSHINE will be the theme of this week's flower offerings at the State Street Farmer's Market in downtown Bristol, TN (810 State Street) - see you soon!
Final market bouquet (and just one more bucket of today's harvest!) to break down into components for drying or another use!
The unhoused flower society decided to come home with me and take residence on my table while I find a use for each of them - so many , but we gotta turn the cold room over for the 4th of July markets - wish me luck ๐คฃ
