We can’t be great at everything; improvement in areas where we aren’t great gets one to overall greatness sooner. If you’re fast yet have poor technique, improving your technique will make you faster. If you’re slow with good technique, becoming stronger and more explosive will help you be faster.

Failure is part of the process; it takes many unsuccessful attempts to achieve success. Embracing failure as one looks for successes within it speeds up the process. Failing at something has nothing to do with who the person is.
Success is the result of focused efforts repeated until the goal is achieved. Pause if necessary; keep forging forward towards the goal.
Dream big; work hard, and confidence will come.
Losing (failure) and winning (success) are both part of the process. Failure teaches us what we need to improve upon; it’s not who we are. Lastly, it’s critical that we don’t let one specific loss beat us twice; when we’re so focused on the last failure that we fail again. Win your day!

Join us for a rugby-specific speed, explosiveness, and agility clinic! Participate in drills that will help you become faster, more explosive, and quicker to better your rugby game. Referees looking to increase their on-field performance and coaches interested in learning more about speed skills and programming are also encouraged to attend.

ABOUT COACH MU
Coach Ajamu “Mu” Olaniyan is a three-time National Champion, and seven-time All-American in the triple jump. He is a UW-La Crosse Wall of Fame member as well as WIAC All-Time team selection. As a sports performance engineer, Coach Olaniyan has enhanced speed, explosiveness, and agility for numerous athletes at the high school, college, and professional levels in baseball, basketball, football, soccer, rugby, and volleyball.

When you need speed, GO FLIGHT!
Grateful for the opportunity to facilitate a XC Speed Clinic at Cedarburg high school. Participants learned about plyometrics, aspects of acceleration, sprint mechanic basics, and most importantly, were electronically timed to get an accurate measurement of their maximum velocity. The maximum velocity distance was a 10 m fly with a 30 m fly start.
Special thanks to the Cedarburg school district, and the Cedarburg cross country programs. When you need speed, GO FLIGHT!
