LION Tea got started the day after my 21st birthday when I woke to a massive hangover and blurry vision. Turns out, I triggered a rare eye condition called Leber’s which according to medical professionals has no cure and would almost definitely cause me to go blind. Good thing my bad ass mom knew what to do. She also has the condition and was able to regain her eyesight through endless research, the right nutrition and a lot of faith. She discovered dandelions were packed with vitamins that are good for your eyes and pumped me full of her homemade dandelion tea concoction for 3 days straight. Every hour on the hour I had to chug this bitter backyard w**d, but in a matter of days my visions was back to 20/20. That’s when I began so discover the many other healing properties dandelions have. They’re a natural detox, great for digestion, skin and liver health and can even cure a hangover or two. I started LION Tea in hopes of spreading their super powers with the world.
