K-5 is hosting their annual PB&J Drive! All donations will go to Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive, supplying food pantries in Erie, Niagara and Orleans counties. We will be running the drive from 8/26-9/27!

Tomorrow is the day! If you are a K-5 parent, make sure you stop the elementary school for our meet and greet! Come in to meet your teachers and drop off school supplies! 3pm-5pm!

Since all our facilities at CSAT are fully air conditioned, we will be operating under our normal, full day schedule this week. Students are allowed to dress down throughout the week to wear clothes appropriate for the hotter temperatures. As we honor Juneteenth, a day of freedom and reflection, we're excited to share an inspiring project led by our very own Ms. Cinde Cozad! This initiative beautifully intertwines plant science with a powerful historical narrative.

After reading the book, "Priscilla and The Hollyhocks," our students discovered the true story of Priscilla, an enslaved girl who played a significant role in cultivating hollyhock flowers in the United States. Inspired by Priscilla's legacy, Ms. Cozad went the extra mile to acquire sixth-generation Hollyhock seeds directly linked to Priscilla's original plants.

Our students had the incredible opportunity to plant these historic seeds in our hydroponic greenhouse, continuing the legacy of growth and resilience. Big shoutout to Ms. Cozad and the entire K-5 team for their hard work!

The CSAT Band Boosters will be holding out annual Ice Cream Social event on Wednesday, 4:30pm - 7:00pm. We will have not just Ice Cream, but also serving up Burgers, Hot Dogs, Drinks and Chips! $5 ticket for Ice Cream or $10 meal deal (ice cream, burger or hotdog, chips, and a drink! Family friendly and will even include some live music from our Jazz Ensemble.

Tuesday was Journey Day for the letter J in the ABC Countdown. Mr. Syruws, Mrs. Lyon's, Ms. Goerg and Ms. Bogis' classes traveled around the world virtually on Journey Day.

It was an exhilarating virtual adventure for the students! Imagine the excitement as they 'traveled' from the icy expanses of Antarctica to the tropical paradise of Bora Bora, marveled at the ancient majesty of the Great Wall of China, explored the lush rainforests, and strolled through the streets of Paris.

Talk about adventure!
