Volunteers are needed at BFNC, Compeer and Schiller Park Senior Center!
Caregivers are family members or friends who typically provide unpaid, long-term,
community-based care and assistance to older adults and people with chronic
health conditions or disabilities.

A recent study conducted by the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers indicated.
that nearly 2 in 10 employed caregivers had to stop working, while 4 in 10 had to
reduce their working hours to care for a loved one.

When you volunteer, you’ll:
• Spend time and socialize with an older adult guest (participant)
• Participate in arts and crafts and other projects together
• Enjoy a free lunch with the group
• Ensure guest safely navigates to restrooms, and other spaces within the
building
• Assist with serving lunch and/or cleanup

Apply today through Hearts and Hands at: https://bit.ly/exhalevolunteer

While HPV vaccine is most effective when given to children ages 11 and 12, older teens and young adults can still benefit from the HPV vaccine - even if they are sexually active. The vaccine will protect them from the most common types of HPV. Everyone through age 26 years should get HPV vaccine if they were not fully vaccinated already. If you are thinking about hitting the tanning bed to help you achieve a "healthy glow", then think again. That glow isn't healthy, it's damage. And damaged skin caused by the ultraviolet (UV) rays from a tanning bed is a leading cause of skin cancer. There is no such thing as a healthy tan. Tanned skin is damaged skin.
