You know those leg days where you can barely walk the next day? Where toilets or chairs are your enemy.
I had a day like that (where I definitely overdid it, which I super donโt recommend) - I ended up pulling out my cups and just using them on my legs, flushing them out, stretching with the cups on some of those really angry spots and I s**t you not I got up from just that little bit and had zero pain.

Women who are trying to balance it all and are used to putting everyone and everything before themselves, so they use their โbusynessโ as an excuse.
I want to get in shape and be healthy - but Iโm so busy and I donโt have time to exercise or cook a decent meal.
I want to start that business, but Iโm just so busy, I donโt have to time to make it work.
I want to have time for myself to get the massage, to read a book, to take a bath, to go for a walk, to whatever the thing is that I really really want to do that will make me happyโฆ

The other day I did a meditation all about how I want to feel.
Believe it or not, you have the power to change how you think, but more importantly how you F E E L.
Itโs super easy to get stuck in a negative pattern, to react in a way that doesnโt feel great and to swirl around in those guilt ridden โwhat ifโsโ, coulda/woulda/shoulda, โIโll never be good enoughโ, gross feelings. It can make you feel trapped. Second guessing every little thing.
It can effect your relationships with others and with yourself.
It can cause you pain. Sleepless nights. Feeling โstuckโ.
For me, Iโve been feeling a little stressed about returning to work after maternity leave. I was feeling the tension in my arms, my face, my shoulders. And wouldnโt you know, I ended up with a killer tension headache!
Aubrey was nice enough to go down for a nap, which allowed me to snooze a bit.
But you can also flip that s**t.
As Iโm easing into this new way of life, Iโm asking myself how I want to feel more and more. Who do I get to be as a Mom AND as all of the other awesome hats I wear?
How do you want to FEEL?
What might happen if you incorporate more of this feeling into your day? Your week?
Today I woke up and meditated and focused on what feeling I needed.
Calm? Meh, close, but no. Confident? Yeah, but no, not right now. Free? Love that
freeing feeling, but itโs not quite it.
Chill. THATโS IT! Ahhhhh chill.
How can I be more chill?
So I took a long hot shower. I listened to a โchillโ playlist. I made it a mantra for the day.
โI am chill.โ

Holy crap! Maternity leave is coming to an end and I am so excited to work with my clients again!
In the last few months, Iย have leaned more into my own self care and who I get to be with all of the different hats that I wear. This of course has trickled from my personal life into my business, and what that gets to look like for myself and for you.ย

As I learn my way through the early days of motherhood, I see both how easy it is to fall in the frazzled trap of โnot enough time for meโ, and also how necessary it is to ask for help and create that time for me. And man, there is support ALL around!
Iโm noticing how quick I can be to second guess myself on if Iโm โdoing it rightโ - whether itโs being a good mom, wife, massage therapist, coach, human being.
I feel the tension in my face get narrower and tighter as I sit in the quiet during those 3am night feeds where I think and overthink different situations. And then I think about the fact that I'm overthinking! Tell me I'm not alone with this?!

Sometimes I take that time to shower...and not one of those โquick! 3 minute shower while the baby is still asleep!โ but a long shower with my happy-go lucky Spotify playlist going and maybe even a hair wash or a good shower cry (which we all need every now and then, am I right?!)
I might move my body - I go for a walk or exercise or stretch. Sometimes Aubrey gets to help as an additional weight!
I learn something new...currently itโs been EFT- something Iโve been wanting to dive deeper in for YEARS and will soon be able to add it to my toolbelt of services in the next month or so!! (more on that later!)
When I return from that pause, it makes a world of difference and Iโm not as frazzled. I can recognize those second guesses for the gremlins that they are and move forward so much quicker. That tension releases. Iโm able to bring myself back to the present.
Iโm curious what your โpauseโ may look like. What is one thing you could do today to take that exhale. Can you ask someone to take a bit of the weight off of your shoulders and switch the laundry or do the dishes? Can you take a few minutes to dance around to your favorite song?

This morning was a slow one. Body wanted to rest, brain wanted to get outside and read or do something โproductiveโ.
Body won.
I allowed myself to rest on the couch. It took several hours, but once I allowed myself what I needed, I was able to enjoy sitting outside and actually concentrate on the words on the pages, whereas before, I wouldโve just starred blindly at the same page, zoning out.
I was able to breathe in the beautiful smell of the lilac bush beside me, watch my dog rest his belly on the ground as he stretched out like a Sphinx - it cracks me up when he does this!
I witnessed the bumble bee couple dancing in a big circle in my backyard.
I felt the soft breeze come through as the fresh cut grass tickled my toes.
Finally, I looked up at the clouds. Oh, cloud watching! One of my favorite things as a kid... Laying in the grass or floating in the pool, looking up and watching the clouds pass by. The space where I would dream, where anything is possible, where I felt fully me. Fully free.
Whenโs the last time you stopped and looked around and just witnessed all of the beauty around you? Itโs so cleansing for the soul.

We have a tendency to be โon the goโ and sometimes pride ourselves in that โIโm so busyโ mentality that weโve been conditioned into.
Thereโs this belief that we as women are supposed to be ๐จ๐๐ก๐-๐จ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ - in order to be nurturing or to get ahead.
Sometimes thereโs a fear that creeps in that โif I pause, Iโll lose momentumโ, but the truth is, if you keep going, you risk burnout.
Pausing, resting, saying no - does not have to mean forever, my friend. It doesnโt mean youโre selfish or snobby for putting yourself first. ๐๐ฉ ๐ข๐๐๐ฃ๐จ ๐ฎ๐ค๐ชโ๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ง๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐จ๐๐ก๐-๐ก๐ค๐ซ๐, which is the greatest gift we can give ourselves.
What are those cues in your body that tell you to rest or slow down? What are those feelings that come up that tell you to say "no" to things that donโt feel good to you? What could that pause or that "no" look like for you?
