As you’ve probably heard, there was an attempt on former President Trump’s life tonight. We grieve for the loss of life and the trauma inflicted on those present. As Christians, we are called to love, justice, and mercy, not to violence. We pray for God’s kingdom to come on earth, and for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. What happened tonight does not reflect that hope. Let this be a reminder of the need for us to be voices for peace and healing in our communities.
