Hi everyone! On Sunday, October 1st, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer will be hosting a walk that anyone can participate in!

Making Strides is a movement dedicated to empowering women and making it easier for anyone facing the challenging reality of being diagnosed with breast cancer.

When arriving, for a more effortless check-in, download the American Cancer Society app; there, you can sign up for the walk electronically. Visit the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer website to get directions for the walk, whether attending via the MBTA or by car.

We are writing to inform you of a change in our schedule that we believe will enhance your experience with us. Due to unexpected circumstances, we have decided to postpone our training camp, which was originally scheduled for July 16th, to the new date of July 23rd.

The postponement also provides us with a chance to invite new players to join our training camp. We are confident that their presence will add value to the sessions, and we want to make the most of our last training camp for the month of July. Additionally, we have exciting news! We will be adding a few more dates in August and September, focusing on speed training and defensive and offensive strategies.

We have set our sights on the upcoming exhibition games scheduled for October 8th, which marks our 11th annual Breast Cancer Awareness event, known as the Pink Bowl. We aim to have all the girls participating in these training camps available to play in these important Exhibition games during our playoff and championship games for our women's league. It's a wonderful opportunity to showcase our skills while supporting a worthy cause.

We kindly ask for your understanding regarding this change. Despite the inclement weather outside, I wanted to inform you that we will still be proceeding with our scheduled outdoor workouts this morning. Yes, it's raining, but I believe this presents a fantastic opportunity for us to train in conditions that we may potentially encounter during our football games.
Rainy weather can significantly impact the dynamics of a football match, affecting ball control, footwork, and overall gameplay. By practicing in these conditions, we will become better prepared and more adaptable on the field. Remember, champions are forged not just on sunny days but through embracing the challenges thrown at them.
I understand that rain might not be the most favorable weather for outdoor workouts, and some of you may have concerns. However, I assure you that we will take all necessary precautions to ensure everyone's safety. We will focus on exercises that minimize the risk of slipping or injuries, and our coaching staff will be closely monitoring the conditions throughout the session.
Let's seize this opportunity to enhance our skills and build our resilience as a team. Together, we can overcome any obstacles and come out stronger. So, grab your rain gear, put on your game faces, and let's give it our all!

💕 Save the date for our annual Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser, the Pink Bowl, which will be the second round of playoffs and the Championship Game. It's all happening on October 8th!

Join us every Saturday starting April 8th through June 3rd at the War Memorial Recreation Center in Cambridge, MA. Our program is open to 4th-8th graders from 9-10:30am and 9th-12th graders from 10:30am-12pm.

Led by Coach Reece Freeman, our program focuses on skill-building and improving your game. Plus, it's an all-girls basketball camp! 💪

Welcome to the Spring 2023 Cambridge Youth Flag Football Season!

We’re so excited to work with both new and old youth flag football players this season and to begin engaging with families to make this the best season yet. Some important information below:

Dates & Cost:
(Spring Session schedule change)

Sundays April 16th through June 25th, 2023( 6 regular season games 3 weeks of playoffs and championship/Allstar games 9-10weeks total Season more detailed schedule to come after week one)
Cost $100 (scholarships available)
Teams:

Lil Ballerz (3-5 year olds) 6U and 8U teams | 2pm
10U, 12U, and 15U Teams | 3:15pm

We still need help on Sundays. If you are interested in coaching or helping in any way, please let us know. We would like to have two coaches assigned for each team and we are not quite there yet. Cambridge Youth Flag Football is a coed program for children between the ages of 3-15 that teaches players of all abilities new skills while having fun! Players learn the fundamentals of football, importance of teamwork, and great sportsmanship.
