Friday, June 24, 2022 is the big day. Join us at the field as we greet Camden's High's newest alumni, the Class of 2022. This is a very special class as it is the first class to graduate from our new facility. Students will be marching from Camden High to the field and the program will start at 3:15. The forecasted weather for graduation is partly sunny and 85 degrees. If you are in the area, come join us for what should be a beautiful day.

Greetings Alumni,

I still remember the day I walked across the stage at Camden High to receive my diploma. As soon as the ceremony was over, I left the football field and walked straight to my grandmother’s house. I was finally entitled to a place on her wall with all the other Camden High graduates in our family. Our pictures on the wall ranged from black and white to color. Each picture had a label on the bottom with our graduation year in my grandmother’s handwriting: 1963, ’65, ’67, ’68, ’69, ’71, ’73, ’80, ’84, ’88. My label read 1994 and in 1998, she added my brother. That’s what I call a legacy.

Today, we have a new castle on the hill and we need alumni to come back and build a new legacy for our future alumni currently walking the halls. Our kids need mentors and new college scholarship opportunities. This is why some concerned alums worked to reactivate our alumni association with the ultimate goal of helping our current Camden High students.

Since late 2020, we have been meeting and discussing ways we can help our youth. We reactivated our nonprofit status with the state of NJ and we have filed for our nonprofit exemption with the IRS. We are currently working with the school district to establish a mentoring program and scholarships for Camden High students. Since I officially took the leadership role in August of 2021, the number of people attending our general body meetings has tripled. We are attracting alums from as far away as Bermuda.

We are doing a lot and now we need you to join us. If you really love the legacy of “The High” and you want to get involved, we meet virtually through Zoom the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. Membership in the alumni association is $30 and is good through 2022. You can pay through Cash App using the hashtag $CmdHighSchAANJ or you can mail your membership dues and application to:
