Congratulations are in order for the 12u team for winning the Cal Ripken United States Championship!! ⚾️🏆

What strikes us the most about this team is the dedication to faith these young guys have. The post game interview was so humbling to hear the glory be given to God. What a team and what coaches they have to lead them on and off the field! We love keeping up with this team, Lynn Kearney!

Keep grinding and wishing you the best of luck tomorrow!

Part 2 of Day 3’s photos!

As we left The Ark we had such beautiful picture perfect weather, even if it was hot!

Last stop of the trip was Cracker Barrel and we headed home!

We had so much fun over the last three days learning at The Creation Museum and The Ark, but also enjoying time spent together! We’ve made memories that will hopefully carry with our kids in years to come! We thankfully experienced no accidents or injuries……well for the kids atleast. 😂

We can’t say thanks enough to Lowell ABC for so much prayer, support and allowing us this opportunity with our youth group. Also to the parents for entrusting us with your kids.

We came, we saw and we conquered The Ark!

After a delicious breakfast we packed and loaded up the van to head to The Ark Encounter for the day. Two by two of course! 😂

What we thought might be full of rain, ended up being a very hot and humid day but what beauty it brought.

These capture us finishing up at the Botanical Gardens at The Creation Museum, the kids getting a chance to pet an Armadillo and a red belly short necked turtle, a stop for ice cream, dinner and a brief lesson around the fire and making s’more’s!

After a big breakfast, we packed our lunches and loaded the van to The Creation Museum.

Youth Trip Day 1 Adventures!

We embarked on our journey with our first pit stop being Buc-ee’s. Lil’ Jesus decided to revamp his sermon and do this one on the Mount of Beavers.

Our journey led us to a late lunch at Fazoli’s before heading to our rental for the next couple of days.

After a few rounds of games and unpacking, we loaded up and headed to none other than Waffle House for a late dinner. Now, we are winding down with a movie night watching The Sandlot.

Our first day has been a fun day of travel and making memories. Tomorrow will be a full day of learning!

Lil’ Jesus is tagging along on our three day adventure! He’s expecting a jam packed trip with this bunch!

Our summer collection of pull tabs is officially underway!!

For the month of JULY, please consider saving any and all metal tabs for our youth collection that will be held this month which will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana.

Traditionally, we have always been told tabs from soda cans, but any metal pull tab will work. Also any of the metal caps off of the various glass bottles can be collected. We ask that you be sure to save tabs from any of the following. Plus anything that may not be listed that we’ve failed to mention.

- Soda Cans
- Soup Cans
- Pet Food Cans
- Tennis Balls Containers
- Metal Caps from Glass bottles

If you are planning any summer cookouts, events or just casually have them remember to SAVE THOSE TABS!! 🔗

There is a competition between our youth departments (Kids for Christ and Youth Group) to see who will be able to collect the most based off weight. There will be buckets located in the connection corner at church for you to place your tabs. If you do not attend Lowell Avenue Baptist church but would still like to assist us with the tab collection, please reach out and we will make arrangements!!

Took some of our youth to deliever the items collected through our Brotherhood group and a check for the money collected during VBS to The Galilean Home yesterday.

We received a quick tour of The Galilean Home and got to learn the importance of their mission and how their journey began. We also got to interact with several residents and one become easily attached to Wil.

We ended our trip with lunch at The Bread of Life!!

What better way to celebrate the hard work over the last couple of weeks, then to have a ‘Merica themed party and water balloon war! 🇺🇸💦🔫

Our youth have willingly worked in various service projects over the last couple of weeks, so we wanted to reward them with a night of fun! These kids are ruthless. 😂

1000 some odd water balloons + water squirters + 6 youth + 3 adults and a Finn = a full fledged war against each other!!

Tonight is the last night of The Great Jungle Journey at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church!!

We have had such a great week and hope the kids have had one too!

Tonight is FAMILY NIGHT!!

This is also the last night of the offering challenge between the boys vs girls!! After the offering tonight we will count and gather the grand total. Then will find out whether Pastor Dave or Youth Director Wil is getting dumped with River Water.

🚢 The Great Jungle Journey VBS Mission 🚢

This week while we embark on The Great Jungle Journey at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church, we will be collecting an offering nightly that will go and benefit The Galilean Children’s Home in Liberty, KY!!

Much like last year, the offering will be competition style between the boys and girls, whom will be represented by our Head Pastor and our Youth Director. An incentive to help keep our kids encouraged, the winner at the end of the week will be able to dump “River Water” on the head of the losing team Captain! 👀

Please consider helping us support this ministry!

Thankful for our youth group and their eagerness to serve the Lord with Hometown Connect, Inc tonight. We assisted this local organization with the soup kitchen and helped package and serve a total of 319 meals.

What a blessing this ministry is to our community. You could feel the presence of Christ Jesus as we watched the women behind the scenes work. What a testament they are with this ministry in being the hands and feet of Jesus. We are blessed to have been able to help and cannot wait to do it again!

VBS is in two weeks at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church!

We spent the evening canvassing the local neighborhood around church and invited the families to come and experience The Great Jungle Journey!

We are excited to announce our 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌 for children in our community AND surrounding counties! ❤️🍎

ANYONE, age birth through 18 years old, is eligible to participate!

The Summer Feeding Program will take place every Tuesday, beginning May 28th, from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, behind Taylor County Middle School in a drive-through style.

EACH child will receive seven meals for breakfast AND seven meals for lunch!!

The last day of the program will be Tuesday, July 30.
