The Administrative Coordinator functions as assistant to the Residential Services Director, maintaining confidentiality of all information received and used in the performance of duties and responsibilities. FACILITIES ASSISTANT OVERVIEW
Join our team as a Facilities Assistant at The Arc Ontario. Your duties will include overseeing grounds keeping for all of our owned properties, which entails seasonal tasks such as general landscape maintenance, lawn care, and shrub planting and trimming. Additionally, you'll be responsible for painting both interior and exterior surfaces across all sites, and providing assistance to our Facilities Specialists when required.

Monday - Friday | 40 hours a week, with rotating on-call responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR FACILITIES SPECIALIST
- Performs a variety of maintenance services on a routine and as‑needed basis including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, lawn maintenance, snow removal, grounds upkeep, and mechanical services. Completes work orders promptly, based on the urgency of the need.
- Meets regularly with the Facilities Manager to review work needs and schedule repairs.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR FACILITIES ASSISTANT
- Responsible for all lawn maintenance, snow removal and grounds upkeep at all agency sites, maintaining the standards set forth by the agency.
- Determines materials, equipment and tools necessary to perform job.
- Responsible for overall quality of work. Responsible for equipment maintenance and upkeep. Promptly reports any equipment concerns to the Facilities Manager.
