We had an amazing Handler Workshop and introduced our new Mental Wellness Toolkit to our volunteers! Huge thanks to Uptown Pup and TCC handler Olivia for hosting, and PAWS Therapy Team handler Liz for leading the workshop. Liz beautifully showed everyone how therapy dog handlers can intentionally connect to mental wellness concepts and create teachable moments through therapy dog interactions. 💚

🐾 We are pawsitively thrilled to welcome Ann and Coco, the newest members of our PAWS Therapy Dog Team! ✨

Coco, an 8-year-old Shih Tzu-Poodle mix, is ready to bring a fur-tastic blend of cuddles and calmness to everyone. They are both ready for some feel-good and comforting therapy sessions! 🐾❤️

Part of Fishers Youth Assistance Program's "Camp Wellness" was Mindful Arts Day at Stone Farm. 🎨 As a way to get artistic, we spent time in nature and did some sketching and rock painting. We also learned how art and nature can be useful ways to ground ourselves, practice mindfulness, and relax. 🌱

🐾 Big welcome to Pam and her adorable dog, Teddy, our newest PAWS Therapy Dog Team! 🐶

Teddy, a 7-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, is ready to bring comfort and cuddles to all The Chris Center partner schools and community events. Get ready for some paw-some moments! ❤️

We are thrilled to share some of the biggest news in The Chris Center's history: Noblesville resident Dr. Katheryn Moreira recently made a donation that will enhance and expand programming at The Chris Center in Carmel.

Her goal is for the donation will help transform the lives of youth living with mental health struggles.

“My hope is simple — that The Chris Center will be able to bring their programs into more schools and help more students. Too many of our kids are struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem or lack of connection and don’t have access or timely access to mental health care."
