I'm seeing some great hallway greetings at Harney House...

Such an honor and a pleasure to be at the Harney House (Harney Elementary in Lebanon) where every day they are working to get better and better.

I’m still thinking about those Walter the dog Lifeline trading cards…Wouldn’t it be great to choose student leaders/mentors in high school…those passionate about science, art, drama, band and guard, STEM, technology, and sports, and had them design their own trading cards with lifelines they thought were most important? Maybe they could choose a quote, along with stats about themselves and their interest and they could pass them out to students who were doing the right thing as they visited elementary schools. What a great way to encourage shared leadership and promote and inspire our students at the same time.

Today I had a small session with Walter the therapy dog at McCormicks Creek Elementary in Spencer-Owen School Corporation. I learned a lot. The counselor here, George Bergan, made Lifeline trading cards to give to students who show the Lifelines. They all have Walter on them!
