Pardoned by Christ Ministry

Spent Father’s Day morning at Edgecomb youth development center. We talked to young men, as most of them don’t have a relationship with their father. We talked about their feelings and their lives revolving around their father’s absence. They desperately need a role model and supporter. Their heavenly Father cares so much for them.

Our house manager, Marvin and Carlton Gooding who is the state Director of yokefellow ministries. Thank you Carlton for ministering at our transitional houses. We love you, brother. 

Our set up last Sunday at Cross assembly church. We had several people inquiring about volunteering for the ministry. 

Congratulations to one of our residents, Jamar. He graduated with an a degree in engineering from Durham Tech!!! Hard work and dedication with an anointing from the Lord!! 

Jordan Lutheran Church shared two large containers of donated toiletry items with residents of a Pardoned by Christ transitional house in Raleigh as we worked hand in hand Saturday morning to beautify their home spreading 5 yards of mulch. Thank you Lord!!!

Shout out to Jordan Lutheran Church and Pastor Merker for the awesome landscape project on Saturday. One of our transitional houses is sure looking good for the spring. 

Had a great time at our 10th annual ministry celebration that featured speaker, NFL, Hall of Famer, Darrell Green. Great music, testimonies, and food. Thank you to all our sponsors and friends. Got a couple of pics of Darrell and staff with more to follow.

Joy of Christmas was overwhelming this morning as I got a text from one of our transitional house residents. He is alone with one other resident in the house. This what he sent me.

“I make this plate today one for me and another for James.”

These men have nothing to their name and work for minimum wage, changing oil and washing dishes, yet they do for one another expressing Christ’s love, especially on Christmas day. Merry Christmas!!! ….the fullness of joy comes not in things, but in the spirit of Christ!

Heading to Chatham Youth Development Center with our second load of items for Christmas. Thank you to all those that donated!!!! The great part is when we have interaction with the youth talking about the Word of God and how to live out what the Bible says.

Such a beautiful day at one of our transitional houses as the guys got together and made Thanksgiving dinner. Two men that graduated from our program returned to bless the current residents. God is good! 

Praise God for Lori and the ladies at Apex Methodist Church. They made 200 handmade Christmas cards for the youth at the detention centers to send out to their families. Thank you Lord!

We thank God for the men at Providence Baptist Church, for restoring our deck at one of the transitional houses. God bless you faithful servants!!!!!!

We were able to minister at the youth center in Siler city on Saturday. It’s been six months since we’ve been able to go in there so it was such a blessing to see the young men and women. It was also a blessing to see the staff who view their position as more than work, a ministry. We gave a bunch of yarn as they love to make quilts, scarfs, hats and helps them with their nervous energy. We shared an encouraging word, and some prayed to receive Christ. many of them who had received Christ before were able to pray with us and participate well in the Bible study. praise the Lord!

We are opening a new transitional apartment and we need a used washer and dryer plus hook ups. Please let me know if there’s one out there good folks!!! I know the Lord will come through!!!

0ne of our residents, Dwight got baptized the other day! Praise the Lord! Thank you Providence Baptist church!!!! Dwight, you are a leader !!

Enjoyed a wonderful cookout at one of our transitional houses this afternoon. The ministry “Fathers On The Move” joined us with Bishop Glover, Deacon Moore, Minister Jim and others. It’s great when ministries partner together to achieve what God wants to do.  of course Theo and I love some burgers!! praise the Lord!! 

This is me getting ready to go into the Edgecomb Youth Development Center today (with some candy:) I was able to speak with three groups of eight young men.  the Lord had me share that the promises given to Joshua are also for them. That God will give them everywhere they set their feet, He will never leave them, and nothing will prevail against them all the days of his their lives. If they meditate on the word of God and dont go to the left or the right, they will be successful. That they need not be afraid but be strong and courageous, strong and courageous, strong and courageous. Really a word for all of us to step out in faith and believe. 🙌

Having a great time of fellowship and getting into the Word at one of the transitional houses last night. Praise the Lord.

Thank you Carpenters for Christ from Shepards Church!!!! You guys put in an absolutely beautiful new kitchen floor at one of our transitional houses. We couldn’t be more grateful! The residents love it! May God continue to bless the work of your hands! 

Since coming out of prison and being part of our transitional housing program, Robert has worked two jobs, tirelessly, helping to take care of his son. He recently got a vehicle from Wheels 4 Hope, so he no longer will have to walk to work. He is feeling really good about himself, and what God has done. Praise the Lord! 

Thank you, Jordan Lutheran church for painting at one of our transitional houses this morning. You guys are such a blessing and we’re honored to be partnered with you. The residents will be excited to have a fresh house!! Praise the Lord!! 

Great Bible study Tuesday night at one of our transitional houses! Thank you, Chuck Thompson for your leadership!  Nice face Marvin. Lol. 

Earlier in the week we had an awesome Bible study and fellowship with the guys at one of our transition houses. They are all so grateful to God for a safe and supportive place to stay. they’re very grateful to our God that has a plan to prosper, and not to harm. our supporters have helped these men in many ways, including gift cards for Christmas to help them buy gifts for their children. We pray that God will bring success to them quickly.

We had a great time ministering at the youth center today. Many of our supporters brought Christmas gifts and we delivered them today for all 35 of the residents. I had a great time talking to the young men about Emmanuel, God with us, the Savior, who loves us, and is going to save us from this crazy world.
