I love this picture so much! I mean, I love this guest and I love how her hair turned out! But I love her expression the most!!
I’m a hairstylist, not a photographer. There’s so much out there now on how to take the best client picture and promote yourself on IG, blah blah blah. But to be honest, it’s just not my priority. Obviously I want a good picture of my client and their hair. And we all know lighting and angles can be out best friend or our worst enemy. So of course, I make an effort to present my work and client in the best way. But truly, if the person in my chair (and in the picture) is smiling or even laughing in this case…it’s a great day behind the chair for me! ♥️

Gave this incredibly sweet guest razor cut layers and taught her how to achieve curl definition. I’m kind of obsessed with her whole aesthetic. ♥️

Side note...razor cuts are ok for all hair types. You only need to be scared if the wrong person is holding the razor 😉 @ evolve studio

With all of the various hair techniques and terms being used these days, a picture is still worth a thousand words. Trust that your skilled stylist knows the best way to go from point A to point B by showing them what you like and leaving the rest up to them! This guest sent me several pictures that were spot on with what her hair was capable of doing. We decided on her favorite inspo (last pic) and voila! Yummy, right?!
