It's been a great summer for Deep Impact students as they learn to be on mission. Last week, along with students serving in Morehead City, we also had a team in Cuba doing a variety of projects from working with children to helping install water purification systems.

Last week we had multiple teams of students from Connecticut, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida working in Fair Bluff. Thank you for spending a week serving in this hard hit area of our state. Thank you for offering hope to families who've almost given up.

We're grateful to Goodwill Industries of Eastern NC for hosting today's clinic in Goldsboro. Goodwill Industries has been a supportive partner for our medical ministry through the years, and it's a privilege to have the opportunity to serve in their community.

DI Kids is in Red Springs Mission Camp Springs this week not only learning about missions but BEING on mission. Daily projects like spending time at a center for older adults to offering a free car wash help everyone understand what it means to serve others.

NC Disaster Response is praying for our brothers and sisters in Texas who are experiencing the impact of Hurricane Beryl.

Teams from NC are leading 14 English Bible Camps in Hungarian school this summer. Volunteers from Westwood Baptist Church, Apex Baptist Church, Bethlehem Baptist Church - Knightdale, NC and Dutch Cove Baptist Church. are there right now teaching English with a Biblical basis.

Since 2014, volunteers have had the opportunity to work in these schools at the request of the Hungarian government to have the Bible taught in their schools. Teams have returned to the same school year after year, building trust with students and staff which has resulted in many giving their life to Christ.

We're grateful for all the hard work this group from Berry Chapel Baptist Church in Spruce Pine did with our project in Fair Bluff. High temperatures didn't stop this team from building several wheelchair ramps. We have multiple opportunities to serve in Fair Bluff through the end of August. What’s in a cookie? For students at the English Bible Camp in Hungary being led by volunteers from Fairview Baptist Church in Apex, for many it was more than just their first time to make home made cookies. It was also their first opportunity to experience the joy of serving as they hand delivered them to a retirement home. Ingredients - Flour, Sugar, Eggs, Love and Kindness

In Matthew 5:16, Jesus commands His disciples to "let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven."

In August 2024, Baptists on Mission will host a series of Regional Mission Rallies across the state. These rallies (10 of them) will highlight the variety of opportunities NC Baptists have to be involved in missions. Featured will be worship, testimonies, mission videos, and a prayer time for missions. A meal is provided for the rally at no charge, but reservations are necessary to ensure an accurate meal count. The meal will begin at 5:45 pm, followed by the program from 6:50 pm-8:30 pm. These rallies are for anyone in your church who is interested in missions. A main focus of these rallies will be state, national, international partnerships and projects (including Disaster Relief) and the NC Missions Offering. Thank you to all the volunteers who served in Kentucky these past few weeks. Your efforts will leave a lasting impression on the people of Greenville, KY. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus to hurting people.

We've had the pleasure of returning 1800 families to their homes after Hurricane Florence. 60 of those have been rebuilt from the ground up. Thank you for making a difference in people's lives. Thank you for giving to the NC Missions Offering which makes all this possible.

DI Kids is off to a great start this week in Hendersonville with lots of opportunities to serve the community, have fun and learn more about following Jesus.

KY Disaster Response Update - Volunteers from NC have finished 15 jobs but we still have 200 to be completed. "God has been so good to me it's only right that I give back what I can. It might not be much but I love to help." Connie Lawson is spending her week working with our Lumberton Rebuild Center. She just had her 80th birthday and her group from Fairlawn Baptist Church in Fairlawn, VA teamed up with several other groups on a construction project.
