Our Story

Pack 202 is chartered through St. Francis United Methodist Church, located at 2965 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary, NC.

The Pack is one of many Scouting units operating as part of Black River District, Occoneechee Council, Boy Scouts of America (BSA). See the website links in the left sidebar for more information on these organizations.

As a Scouting family, our Pack emphasizes parental involvement, fun with a purpose, and ‘Doing Your Best.’ Parents are expected to volunteer for an adult leadership role. Service to others is a teaching point and core value that we demonstrate to our Scouts whenever possible. Our program calendar is filled with great opportunities for the boys as well as their parents. Whether your passion is camping, hiking, sports or just hanging out with friends, we have events for you.

Pack and Den meetings are held on Thursday from September through May. The Pack sponsors a summer program with up to 3 activities planned each month. Summer activities in previous years have included movie night, hiking, Durham Bulls games, bike rodeos, pool parties, kickball, astronomy night, rock climbing, belt loop fairs, Railhawks soccer games, and much, much more. New and prospective Scouts are invited to join us at any and all summer time events!
