With 40 career home runs, Mackenzi Kroll now holds the Chadron State College Softball career record for homers! She surpasses Katie Bolen, who hit 37 home runs during her CSC career. Congrats Mackenzi!

Hunter named RMAC Coach of the Year, Campbell named Wrestler of the Year - Chadron State College Athletics COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Chadron State College head wrestling coach Brett Hunter and 133-pounder Quentrevion (Quen) Campbell were respectively named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Coach and Wrestler of the Year, the RMAC announced on Monday.

Hunter named NWCA Region VI Coach of the Year - Chadron State College Athletics CHADRON, Neb. -- After leading Chadron State to its first RMAC men's wrestling title since 1995, Chadron State College head men's wrestling coach Brett Hunter was named the National Wrestling Coaches Association Region VI Coach of the Year, the NWCA announced on Friday.

On this date in 1910, according to Chadron State College: A Century of Service by Con Marshall, the State Board of Education selected Chadron as the site for the state's newest normal school. Great jubilation prevailed in Chadron. Church bells rang, whistles blew, and bonfires lit up the scene as expressions of delight. Chadron could now move forward with great confidence toward achieving its goal of offering thorough training of teachers for western Nebraska. In June 1911, the college officially opened with 111 students. 🦅🎓📚
